In a hadith ash- Sharif, it was said, "The difference between the believer and the unbeliever is namaz," that is, the believer performs namaz, and the unbeliever does not. Munafiqs, however, sometimes perform it and sometimes do not. Munafiqs will undergo very bitter torment in Hell. Abdullah ibn Abbas (radiallahu 'anh), the leader of mufassirs, said that he heard Rasulullah say, "Those who do not perform namaz will find Allahu ta'ala angry on the Day of Resurrection."

Subhaanallah!

MashAllah good hadeeth....

And Inshallah I hope that Allah will not be angry with any of the muslims.

Ameen

Can you please explain the words namaz, munafiq and mufassir?
Thanks! :)

Namaz - Prayer

Munafiq - Hypocrite (I think)

Mufassir - A specialist in a branch is called mufassir. He is a profoundly learned scholar able to understand what Allahu ta'ala means in His Word.

namaz= prayers..supplication
munafiq= hypocrite
mufassir= one who gives explainations..
how can we tell who the munafiq is ..

maybe by the fact that a munafiq comes to the prayers..kussala..meaning lazily..
(in light of a verse in surah tawbah..i can't exactly remember which)

Q: If you do not pray salat out of laziness on purpose, are you a kafir or just a bad Muslim? Please answer.

A: Praise be to Allah(swt).
Imaam Ahmad said that the one who does not pray because of laziness is a kaafir. This is the more correct view and is that indicated by the evidence of the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, and by the words of the Salaf and the proper understanding. (Al-Sharh al-Mumti’ ‘ala Zaad al-Mustanqi’, 2/26).

Anyone who examines the texts of the Qur’aan and Sunnah will see that they indicate that the one who neglects the prayer is guilty of Kufr Akbar (major kufr) which puts him beyond the pale of Islam.

Among the evidence to be found in the Qur’aan is:

The aayah (interpretation of the meaning):

“But if they repent [by rejecting Shirk (polytheism) and accept Islamic Monotheism], perform As-Salaat (Iqaamat-as-Salaat) and give Zakaat, then they are your brethren in religion.” [al-Tawbah 9:11]

The evidence derived from this verse is that Allah defined three things that the Mushrikeen have to do in order to eliminate the differences between them us: they should repent from shirk, they
should perform prayer, and they should pay zakaat. If they repent from shirk but they do not perform the prayer or pay zakaat, then they are not our brethren in faith; if they perform the prayer but do not pay zakaat, then they are not our brethren in faith. Brotherhood in religion cannot be effaced except when a person goes out of the religion completely; it cannot be effaced by fisq (immoral conduct) or lesser types of kufr.

real munafiq i.e. a person who conceals his dibelief can only b known 2 allah.this was possible in the days of the prophet.in this day an age a munafiq refers 2 a muslim whos actions are similar 2 a disbeliver,,( munafiq)

The Messenger of Allaah, sal-Allaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, said: “Between a person and kufr and shirk is the abandonment of prayer.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2766.

Classed as saheeh by Ibn Maaja, 1078, and by al-Albaanee)

Sahih Bukhari

Book 10, Hadith 531

Narrated by Abu Huraira

Allah’s Apostle said, “If anyone of you can get one Rak’a of the ‘Asr prayer before sunset, he should complete his prayer. If any of you can get one Rak’a of the Fajr prayer before sunrise, he should complete his prayer
.”

We can't bro, Allah knows best.

I agree.
Only God knows what's in our hearts.
People who appear very devout and religious on the outside, may not be so at all at heart.

Which goes to show ... you cannot judge a book by it's cover!

When I pray, I am always totally honest with God.
If I have doubts or problems, I tell him outright. After all, it's not like I can fool Him, is it?! :statisfie
