It's good and the only way for change. I have to consciously put effort into not offending while still conveying the message.

Allah knows whats in our hearts behind our actions so don't worry if people don't understand the reason behind your action/inaction. You only have to justify yourself to Allah so do everything to please Allah and know that He doesn't ask much.

You can't change others, you can only change yourself and inspire others if Allah wills.

On the subject of rizq, Imam Malik was reported to have said:

In this fast moving world we want everything in urgency. If you want something be patient and pray to allah.
 
Man must seek to gain the acceptance of God and not that of the different classes of men. If one is praised and chosen by God, the accusation of all the creatures will cause no loss to him; and if the man is not accepted in the threshold of God, the praise and admiration of all men will be of no use to him.
