i always an absent minded professor had to facemany embarassment situation.longyrsback i still remember once on train reaching the destination iwas about to get down the train a man cameto me saying excuse me my chapple..ilooked down.to see i an wearing one of his chappels.mumbling a word sorry got my chappel and got down.just imagine my plight.again once iwas in a footwear . nothing satisfied me so iust left the shop. the sales man was behind me pointing my foot with a sheepish look.readers probably would have guessed.again i am with one newchapple and one with mine..haha theonly solace ihad at both incidents they sure woulln,t have taken me for a thief who was to leave only with one new chapple:D.now at middle age i am much more cautious.

That really made me laugh. :satisfied
A similar incident took place with me. I was boarding the bus, I noticed that I left one of my sandals on the footboard of the bus and I stopped suddenly and a small crowd was behind me waiting for me to move forward. Everyone was looking down and waiting :D. Thank god I could wear it and all that time I was thinking what if it fell down again. :P

I was working at a module with my sister a few years ago, and the teacher was standing nearby talking with another teacher. I was going to say something to my sister but instead I accidentally spit my gum out in the direction of the teacher, who of course, saw the whole thing.

Awkward situations for me is when you see your 'friends' that went to the same school/college/uni as you.

Do you talk? do you smile and acknowledge? do you say 'hi'? do you ignore? or do you be polite and have a long chat chat?

^ Ignoring is the worst thing you can ever do. :phew Greet them and have a small chat just to be polite. :)

I had a really awkward moment when i was doing work experience at an engineering company... It was the end of the day and i was leaving and walked towards the exit. However i was sort of daydreaming and walked into the door without realizing and then looked back to see if anyone saw, and the receptionist was staring directly after me. So i tried to get out as fast as i could but when i tried to open the door it wouldnt actually open so i tried to open it while shaking the handle very rigourously but it still wouldnt open. I looked back and the receptionist was still staring at me but then i realized that this wasnt the exit door and the exit doors were to the left of me. I looked back at the receptionist and she was still staring at me and then i quickly looked away and walked out as fast as i could... Was not a good experience. :heated:

I dont know if this is awkward enough but once we booked a hotel in Paris and only got one bed so I had to sleep in the same bed with my father. They told me that I usually move in my sleep. So then I turned my hand and slapped my own father in the face while I was asleep.

Awkward moment in this forum:

Before I noticed here is a section called "Methodology". I read the name in hurry and was wondering many times why an earth here is the section for meteorology...

:omg:

There were too many questions of "How's the weather", so they had to create a separate section for it. ;D

Ok, one of my own: I was in class, and the teacher was checking our copies on her desk. She called me and asked why I was using an old copy, and if I was in my senses. I went to her, and saw that I had accidently wrote April in the date of the first work within that copy (Class begins in August as you should know). But by then everyone in the class was staring at me. I really saw no big deal, so I just shrugged.

One my answer in this forum to someone few years ago who was in trouble:

"May Allah makes your bath easy..."

An easy bathing? Well, that was quite kindly to say, too. :embarrass
