Dear brothers and sisters,

Since 2012 I have been working on my own Web Design & Development business. I have been helping mainly sisters to get their online businesses, websites & shops a professional look/feel and functionality.

My services are in Graphic Design, Web Design and Web Development. I am specialized in WordPress and PHP Development, but I do also share what I know about & help with Marketing, User Experience Design, Frontend-Development and diverse E-Commerce Systems like Shopware, Prestashop, WooCommerce and Gambio.

You can read more on my website: http://codingowl.net/

I do also write on my blog about home-based business, especially for mompreneurs, islamic business and business in general.

Please take a look at this "Beginners Guide for Muslim Entrepreneurship": http://codingowl.net/blog/beginners-guide-to-muslim-entrepreneurship/

I would be thrilled if you could share articles with your friends and family if you find them useful!

And I am of course very happy, if you need my services, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am very flexible when it comes to budgeting and since working from home, I have no expensive agency overhead.

Barakallahu fiikum for reading!

assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi

:sl: Sister,

Keep it up

This is what iv'e been encouraging many muslims particularly women through my daughter to do by using their extra time at home and make some halal earnings through drafting , designing, plans etc trough Autocad or creating websites etc. Though the interest seen here is deplorable

We have some houses for rent in Thailand. If you want to rent them on daily basis in the future, Inshallah , you can create a web site for marketing right ?

Maashaa'Allaah, that is excellent and a very good field that you are in, sister. May Allaah Ta`aalaa grant you Barakah (blessings) in your business.

I found Open Cart to be the best e-commerce software for me. Very simple and straightforward, and the layout is nice.

Besides PHP, have you also studied HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, etc?

WordPress is nice as it has a very user friendly interface. But, have you compared it with Dreamweaver? Dreamweaver has a lot more functionality and gives you more control over what you're doing.

Go to Code Academy and start off with the easy and simple scripting languages like HTML and CSS. Then learn JavaScript and PHP. Then move on directly from there to C or C++ (whichever you prefer. C# is not as good as the other two.)

C/C++ is the best coding language out there. Has the largest number of uses. Delphi, Pascal, was a whole lot easier, but it's old-school, worked best on Windows 95 up to Windows XP (doesn't really work on Windows 7 and up), and can't do 10% of the things C/C++ can do. So, I don't suggest taking time out to learn it. Whatever Delphi can do, C/C++ can do as well, just better.

Learn Java if you're interested in going into development of apps.

C/C++ is also best for hacking, when used in conjunction with Linux. (It works better on Linux OS than on Windows OS.)

Ameen, thank you very much.

Yes I know all those and Flash, C++, Cobol and other old school languages, but I hardly use them anymore, so can't really say I could code in them. I personally don't like website builders like dreamweaver because they are always limited and don't really produce clean code. I rather write it by myself.

Code Academy is really a great place to start if you want to learn coding.
