To Respect Our Seniors

Hadhrat Anas R.A. narrates that Rasulullah:saws1: said,

"No young person shows respect to an old man on account of his old age without Allah :swt: appointing someone to show respect to him when he becomes old." -- Tirmidhi.

Correct me if I am wrong, but one of my relatives said that the Prophet :saw: also said:

"Whosoever doesn't show kindness to the youth/children/kids, is not one of us." Or something like that.

كما تدين تدان​

"What you do to others will be done to you."

Yes, that is correct. Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

ليس منا من لم يرحم صغيرنا و يوقر كبيرنا

"The one who does not show mercy to our young ones and respect our elders is not one of us." [Narrated in Sunan at-Tirmidhee.]

People who respect others get respect themselves. But when people are disrespectful, people tend not to respect them either.
