Surah Saba, Verse 45:

And those before them rejected (the truth), and these have not yet attained a tenth of what We gave them, but they gave the lie to My apostles, then how was the manifestation of My disapproval?

( 7 ) And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it
( 8 ) And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,
( 9 ) He has succeeded who purifies it,
( 10 ) And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].
( 11 ) Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,

Surah Yusuf, Verse 111:

In their histories there is certainly a lesson for men of understanding. It is not a narrative which could be forged, but a verification of what is before it and a distinct explanation of all things and a guide and a mercy to a people who believe.

( 110 ) Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone."

Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 286:

Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability; for it is (the benefit of) what it has earned and upon it (the evil of) what it has wrought: Our Lord! do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake; Our Lord! do not lay on us a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us, Our Lord do not impose upon us that which we have not the strength to bear; and pardon us and grant us protection and have mercy on us, Thou art our Patron, so help us against the unbelieving people.

Surah As-Saaffat, Verse 102:

And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones.

Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound.

(39:41) (O Prophet), We revealed to you the Book with the Truth for all mankind. So he who follows the Right Way does so to his own benefit, and he who goes astray, shall hurt only himself by straying. You are not accountable on their behalf.

(39:47) If the wrong-doers possessed the treasures of the earth in their entirety and as much besides, they would gladly offer it on the Day of Resurrection to redeem themselves from the harrowing chastisement. I'm sorry.... But I have a question....

The things within parentheses....are they added to the original words, and is it for translation/ clarification attempts/purposes?

Thanks in advance. I'm sorry I didn't post a verse.

Peace with humility.

Surah An-Nahl, Verse 12:

It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you, and if you again return (to disobedience) We too will return (to punishment), and We have made hell a prison for the unbelievers.

Surah At-Taubah, Verse 5:

So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

1. I have taken this verse along with its translation from tafheem.net so it is not my translation.

2. I understand that the words in the parentheses are for clarification purposes i.e. to make the translation more understandable. In fact we know from the text of the Holy Quraan that the chastisement in Hell shall be uniquely severe! Nothing in this world can be compared with that punishment.

3. One personal point is that (and I write it as a request) Allah very clearly said that the only Deen (religion )acceptable to Almighty God (Allah) is Islam. Allah said in the surah Aali-Imraan verses 19 and 85:

[h=2]19. Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.[/h][h=2](Surah Aali-Imraan verse 19)

85. If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).
[/h]

(Surah Aali-Imraan verse 85)

In the light of these verses my sincere advice to you is that you shouldn't write "Christianity." Your faith seems to be that of a good Muslim (Masha-Allah).

Thanks for the advice.

I didn't think it was your own personal translation, but thanks for attempting to clarify.

If I might clarify a thing; I consider myself striving to be faithful unto GOD.

I adhere to tenets of Christianity and Islam as to me they are very, very similar. Of course this is based on the reading of their core scriptures and not the erroneous prideful actions of man.

Again, thank you and peace

All praise, thanks, submission, supplication, love end fear is ultimately to GOD alone. May we all come to be pleasing in the sight of GOD by HIS mercy and will in our lives.
