Assalamualeikum! There is an important question on my mind. To be honest I am not sure I have enough time for it or not. But if Allah wills, I want to memorize all of Qur'an Insallah. Who doesn't want it? :) Anyway, Is there any hafizes on The forum? Is there memorization techniques Of the Qur'an? How long does it take? How many hours do I have to spend each day? Which path should I follow? Allah bless you Inshallah!

The easiest way to memorise the Quran is by listening to the recitation over and over again, try looking for a "fast-paced" reciter that you like, my favourite currently is Sheikh Maher al-Muaiqly.

The best time to memorise is right after Fajr... Have a secluded place to go to and memorise in a place that is quiet. Theres no magic trick: repeat, repeat, repeat, over and over again. It is just repetitive recitation and/or listening that will help to memorise. Start from the back. Shorter surahs will bring you a big boost....

May Allah make it easy for you. Ameen.

Thank you brother. You gave me important informations! Are you hafiz Inshallah?

I'm a sister actually! and no, i am not but managed to memorise quite a bit by listening - alhamdulillah.
Allah increase your knowledge Inshallah sister! :) Which one do you suggest? listening or reading is more useful?

:salam:
eI myself listen to a reciter a lot. Makes it easier to find a flow.

I read a translitation and listen to a reciter. For me I need to both read and listen. So that I know what I am reading, and can improve my Tajweed (by listening and reciting too.)

Allahu alam.

Ameen ya rabb... you as well..

I would suggest both, listening while reading is even more effective.

In my experience, depends on your level of piety.

I tried memorizing. Took me close to 7 years to get 20 Juz.

I suffered a major disease. One which doctors said had no recovery. One has to stay on meds forever. However, Allaah heard the supplications of loved ones and mine and cured me.

I restarted memorizing and finished 10 Juz in just one and a half months.

Disease cleanses you of all sins.

My experience. Allaah knows best.

I struggle.

But then again, I struggle with many things and nothing has ever come easy for me. If I wanted anything, I had to consciously put in the effort as it is not going to be like it is for some people I see.

Once I learn something, I have to practice it almost daily, if not I will forget. Especially a language I don't understand. Even the meanings, I have to at least weekly go through ayat by ayat and remember what is the meaning... that is tough. I went through a month plus of not doing the exercise and I forget at least a third of the meanings if not getting some muddled up.

But that is me, my struggle. Everyone will have it different.

May Allah make it easier for you.
