which madhab we need to follow?
instead of choosing the hadith ask the scholars of your madhab. It is safercan i take 4 madhabs sahih hadiths..
Do not think to choose a madhab like choosing a faculty in university. Basically madhab is like a lane on one way road. Whichever the 'lane' you choose, it will bring you toward the same direction, and then you will arrive in the same destination.i need know whether i need follow shafii madhab or hanafi
if the large number of people in your country follow hanafi, then follow hanafi or if, shafi'i, then shafi'ii need know whether i need follow shafii madhab or hanafi
You don't have to follow any "one Mazhab". Mazhab basically means an opinion, a research, an understanding. Scholars in the past have done research and those as time passed came to become schools of law. And until the day of judgement, there will be researches done, so you are not bound to follow any specific school. It's not a rule of Sharia that it is Fard or Wajib or Sunnah or Nawafil. So following a Mazhab is not an obligation.which madhab we need to follow?

So following a Mazhab is not an obligation.
Allah mentions in the Quran in Surah Al Imran, Chapter Number 3, verse number 32, "obey Allah and obey the Messenger". So our duty is to follow the Quran and Hadith, not any Mazhab. Even the Imams of all 4 Mazhabs never said "follow whatever I say". They rather said "if you find a Hadith that is correct, follow that". And they said "if my Fatwa is against the Hadith, throw my Fatwa on the wall". So these are very clear stuffs, you just need to follow the Quran and Hadith.
Now, if you don't know something, can you follow a Mazhab? Yes. You can follow any Mazhab you want, that's basically you can follow any understanding of you want, but on one condition, if your Mazhab has something that goes against the Hadith of the Prophet, then it becomes Wajib (obligatory) upon you to follow the Quran and Hadith and reject that part of your Mazhab. So yah, follow any Mazhab you want, if you need to, but only those which match with Quran and Hadith. If it contradicts, then you don't need to follow that. Hence best is to follow the Quran and Hadith and not any Mazhab. But it's your personal matter. Hope this helps.
There are several things which were not available that time but is available now. So what about those? You don't need to any research for those?4 madhab were compiled in the light of Quran and ahadith.
Whose research in this age is better than of classical imams?

And you are trying to say that whatever they said was right, so they never made mistakes or what? I don't really understand what you are saying. We are told to follow the Quran and Hadith, and if you think that those 4 Imams were the end of the research, then you're wrong, am sorry to say that. The Prophet said, there will always be one group of people in every generation of who will always be on Haq, truth. So, those who are on Haq don't blindly follow any specific Imam. We blindly follow Quran and Hadith, not any specific human being except Prophet PBUH. Hope this helps.
Everyone in this ummah is fallible.
I asked whose research is more reliable than 4 imams' ?
We are commanded to follow Quran and sunnah and following 4 madhab is the best way to follow Quran and Sunnah if you're lacking in ability of ijtihad..
I don't trust modern age scholars if go against 4 madhab. I don't need the research of scholars of this age. I can see myself Quran and all ahadith available on internet and printed books.
Which group of this ummah is on Haq can't be said. Interesting thing is that every sect proclaims of being on Haq.
Different leves of ijtihad have been defined by classical scholars. It doesn't mean that all the doors of ijtihad are closed.Any scholar who researches from the Quran and Sunnah correctly, is reliable. If it's not reliable, then it's not from Quran and Sunnah.
Yes, that's what I said that we should follow Quran and Sunnah, for that if you need help, use Mazhab, no problem. But that doesn't mean that if your Mazhab has something wrong, then you blindly agree to that and disregard the Sunnah because "your Mazhab says so".
And as you said "lacking the ability of Ijtihad", not everyone can do Ijtihad, but there are scholars in this world who can and until Qiyamat there will be scholars who will do Ijtihad. So the door to Ijtihad is not closed. So please kindly don't try to prove that Taqlid is what we should do because the 4 Imams are gone and Ijtihad is closed. Not at all. Ijtihad, research, will be open until the last day. And because of this blind following, the Muslim Ummah is in disaster because they divide themselves into several groups and don't follow the Quran and Hadith.
And modern day scholars, if they go against all Mazhabs but are correct from Quran and Sunnah perspective, then I definitely agree with them. We are told to follow Quran and Hadith blindly, not any Mazhab blindly. So if something goes against Mazhab but is the Haq from Quran and Sunnah, then I follow the Quran and Sunnah and reject the Mazhab on that topic. If you want Taqlid, good for you. Stay with the researches which were done 1000 years ago. You will never get answers for things that happen these days as those didn't exist in the past. So if there is no one researching the Quran and Hadith in today's world, then how will you get answers to those? If the mobile rings when Salah is going on in Jamah, then what you should do with the mobile? In which Mazhab it is written? Was mobile available 800 years ago? No. So? Your mobile probably rang in Salah, and you knew what to do. How did you know? Because there is research done. Whether it's your logic or a specific research, it's still a research. So you can't say that if it's not there in my Mazhab, I don't follow. Okay, good for you, you don't follow. But please don't let others do the same. Guide them towards Quran and Hadith, not towards any group or understanding.
And ya, of course everyone will say they are on Haq. Is there any human being who likes to proclaim that he is not right, he is always wrong and is lost? No one. So it's human nature. But you and me, we have a brain, we need to use it, Allah gave us knowledge and so we need to utilise that and find out which people in the Ummah follow the Quran and Hadith correctly, and then we should follow that.
And as you said, no one knows which is Haq, so you're trying to say that you yourself don't know whether you are on Haq?
I don't trust modern age scholars if go against 4 madhab.
-If the solution of modern age issues aren't found in 4 madhab then I'm sure that shariah has no clear guidelines.
4 Madhabs are equally respectable. With the exception of modernists you will find that the Fatwaas of "modern age" scholars always have a classical Mujtahid Imaam who has supported the Fatwaa.
Take for example how IslamQA promotes saying Amiin out loud. It is supported by the Mujtahid Imaams of the Shaafi'i and Hanbali Madhabs.
Similarly, IslamQA says camel urine is pure. Both the Maaliki and Hanbali schools say it is pure.
So, you do trust them because you laid a condition in your sentence above that if they go against the 4 Madhaahib.
I do not think you were talking about the likes of Suhaib Webb.
E.g.......?You do realize that the Imaams of the Madhaahib made Qiyaas on issues for their time and age. These issues were not outlined so they had to make Qiyaas. You do not make Qiyaas if the Qur'aan and Sunnah are clear on an issue.
So, if they made Qiyaas then modern age scholars can make Qiyaas. The doors of Qiyaas never close.
Or do you suggest the doors of Qiyaas close after a certain period of time?
