Dear brothers and Sisters,
I just took my shahada and I wanted to share my story with you!
First of all my whole family are christians. And they don't know that I converted.
I have a Fiancé. He and his family are muslims... He lives 1400km away from me! In one year I will move to Sweden and live with him.
I am telling you about my fiancé because he (and his family) made me realize that Islam is the right religion for me...
I've been with him for 2 years (since 2 weeks engaged). They showed me the islamic lifestyle but I haven't been sure for a longtime if it would suit me. In the last months I was constantly unhappy and I was the reason why my fiancé and I argued alot! I started to inform myself about Islam. I watched the series (on YouTube) "scientific miracles of the quran". These series really surprised me and I started to read the Quran (sura 1-4).
Now after thinking two years about it I took the shahada! And when I took it I felt like energy went through my hands. Now I still feel warmth around my heart and it is really comforting!
I hope that the islamic lifestyle makes me happy and a calm person. I want to stop arguing with my fiancé and instead be happy alot!

Thank you for reading this!!! :))

Salam alaykum new sister in Islam

Congratulations! May Allah makes it easy to you to follow this wonderful path called Islam. I am happy for you and wish to you blessed life.

And I am sure you will like Sweden too. It´s a nice country (I have visited there).

Welcome tot he forum sister and congratulations.

You both are crazy (Aisha1998 & sister herb). Sweden are you kidding me!!..

I hope your fiance is a bit hairy ;D;D;D, some fur is needed in such places to be cuddled by. (joke).

btw: A cousin of mine (49 years old) he visited me this summer and was VERY VERY VERY pessimistic about Sweden (he has lived there about 20 years). He said Sweden is a country good for destroying families. He said everything is expensive, as fruits and vegetables are imported. Salaries are the same as many other western countries, but stuff is expensive. There isn't a lot of sun and when the sun does shine a bit, women go a bit overboard there. As Sweden is on #1 when it comes to feminism. If your children complain he said they only have to call the police and the police takes them away. Many children have left their parents because they see "too much hardship" there (because brainwashed by society). My advice to you is when going there do first look around, before having children if later on married etc. Be serious with your fiance about it. You will only complain later on if you do not look very critical about it.

Actually, Sweden is quite similar country like Finland. Short summer but a lot of daylight, great nature and very great winters (a lot of snow but it´s just fun in here). Agree? :hiding:

I have been born in the Middle East and have lived about 22 years here in the west. However my body is just not suited for cold weathers ;D. You are a ice queen i guess (not to be associated as a cold person by character/heartless). I however like my sun ;D.

MashAllah. Welcome to Islam.

Wa alaykum assalam,

Ma'sha'Allah! Mabrook to you sister Aisha (which is a beautiful name by the way)! Welcome to Islamic Board, and most importantly to Islam.

Alhamdulillah, your heart was opened to the truth, :). You'll see how it brings such peace and contentment into your life in'sha'Allah.

May Allah swt keep you steadfast and always preserve and protect you, and may He bless your marriage. Ameen. :)

btw, Sweden is a beautiful country. There is something about the stark, empty beauty of scorching deserts and snowy mountains I can't get enough of. I'm inclined to colder weather though - I melt in the heat.

YES! I spent some time in Goteborg in 2006 and it was fantastic. The Blader at Liseberg is a fond memory!
Also seeing Squirrels on a walk when you're from a Squirrelless country like I am is amazing.

More importantly. Masha'Allah welcome to Islam, sister.
May Allah (swt) continue to guide you.
