Making up lots of missed salah?

Salam all,
So it became fard for me to start praying when i was 11, and i i think i did start sometime after it became fard for me( or when i became 12, i cant remember tbh) the thing is, i used to not pray all the time, eg some times i would pray, sometimes not. Im aware i have to make up missed salat but i dont know how many? Like i dont even have an idea as id cut off for like a week and then start again . Im not very sure what to do tbh

Some scholars say you have to figure out how many you missed and make them up. Others say that sincere tawbah will suffice because abandoning prayer is apostasy and returning to Islam wipes out the past sins. And Allah Knows Best.
