How do we know if we are all playing make believe?

Since the punishment for leaving Islam is death, and since we all have a natural fear of death, there is no way of knowing who is truly a Muslim and who is playing make-believe. Most of us would rather live a life of pretend if we no longer believed in Islam. I have a social experiment in mind. I am going to try it on another website later.

It is not our job to know who is truly a Muslim or not. We leave such matters to Allah سبحانه وتعالى. But if people were simply Muslims out of fear of death, we would not expect to find so many Muslims in secular countries and so many people converting to Islam across the world.

I want to know if you are the person whom told me, after I quoted Plato with "ignorance is the root and stem of all evil" that not all evil is from ignorance. I think it was you but I am not completely sure. My friend, I am cursed with a high IQ. If I only relied on what my Muslim friends told me and on the propaganda and pamphlets handed to me from a mosque, I might have become a Muslim. But I read the Quran. I have to assume most people don't. Something is not true just because most people or even billions of people believe it to be true.

I have a true story you might find interesting. We have friends who are Mormon and we had thanksgiving dinner with some friends they introduced us to. They were Mormon too. Then the missionaries starting coming over to press us to join their religion. I played nice and respectful to them for a while but then they started coming over unannounced and uninvited when it was not polite or acceptable. Then I could not longer hold back and I told them what I really think. They instantly left and one of them turned his head back at me and said "you will believe what you want to believe".

How ironic is that? He accused me of doing exactly what he was doing.

I find Mormonism and Islam virtually identical where the nice, warm, sensible dogma is presented to get someone to convert and the hard and troubling facts are not revealed until later on. And if someone is raised as a Christian already, they have been already duped into thinking that all of the biblical stories are true. But we know that some of the stories in the bible never really happened. https://www.npr.org/2011/08/09/138957812/evangelicals-question-the-existence-of-adam-and-eve

That was me, which was also the last reaction on the thread. I still stand by my words and I've never seen you recover after that reaction.

Nice to see that my words made a deep impression on someone with such high IQ.
My friend, I am cursed with a high IQ.
You know what beats a high IQ?
Having the truth on your side.
No matter how high your IQ is...You wil always come short if you are battling against the truth.

True, I agree...but that goes both ways.

I probably would have done the same....but we are not mormons

You are both doing the same thing...I think the reason that you are here is the very exact same reason why that mormon man came to you.
So he was probably right.

Yeah exactly...see how biased you already are? you know nothing about Islaam. Every aspect of Islaam is present and available for everyone always. we do not hide anything.
