Wouldn't it be great if there was an Islamic University that was renowned for its Secular education. With many degrees to offer, good research (for post-grad) all this in an Islamic Environment...

Would be great

great idea bro

i have heard about universities in Madina and Cairo ( dont know much about them). Maybe they have the same kind of islamic enviroment you are talking about.

if you know about universities in madina and cairo plz tell me

What course have you applied for over there? Also do you know Arabic? Or you don't need to know Arabic

Inshallah its good news

But alot of the time, I've been told these Darul Ulooms don't fare well in the Results charts. I don't know why that is, be it lack of resources, teachers, or unwilling students. But Inshallah one day they will excel

I think its the teaching. theres not enough qualified muslim teachers in darulooms with the relevant degrees so because of this the teaching is poor.

yeh i understand what you mean. y not try A-level then? I want to go in to teaching aswell but not primary lol Id prefer A-level but I might give secondary a go. Im going to start a degree in biology or biomedical science inshallah and then do a PGCE

:sl:

my friends going that route...shes studying biology..and afterwards pGCE....which uni u planning to go?

A-level...me...i'll freak out!

:w:

erm coventry if i do biological sciences and De montfort Uni in leicester if i do Biomedical Science - Im still kinda deciding!

Which uni do your mates go to?

Teaching Alevel is hard but i think its much better coz thers no trouble from students and you can have a laugh with students aswell coz they mature

I spoke to my biology teachesr at my secondary school and he did say that it dont matter what uni you go to if u want a degree for teaching....long as you got one from somewhere!
