LOL! i was confuzzled reading that title. well it sure did attract my attention.
Lol that guy is a sucha fruitcake. Having the audacity to talk about the veil when he doesnt even know what its for! He tops my stupid people list and i dont even have one lol. Do u see a Muslim revert bashing Christianity? nope.

I have seen plenty of reverts criticising Christianity, some in fact bashing it, but none of them I've heard from have tried to tell Christians how to practice their religion like this Bishop does.

Didnt the newspaper stop and think "Hold on, why would there be a Muslim bishop? We'd better check to see if this person is Muslim"

And yes that silly Bishop displays ignorance, he doesnt know what the veil is for, it seems his attack was a ignorant one at Islam.

And this same biship wanted the West to remember its "Christan past" (the one from the dark ages) hinting he wanted to see Christian theocracy rise again......

Women should be allowed to wear what they want. If a security issue comes up, a female security officer can check a veiled women for identity. This bishop's statement is best left ignored.
 
It's not only a case of him telling Muslims how to practice their religion, he clearly wants to restrict women's freedom.

Wait, I am confused, he has said that in situations where identity needs to be established then the veil should be removed, I don't see why Muslims disagree.

If that is the case, then the headline is wrong in more than one way since it says that he wants to ban the veil.
 
y r they always doing this to muslims?...how would they feel if a muslim government bans christians, jews, etc. from symbolizing their religion?

No, it could be that he means ban the veil in certain circumstance, for example, obeying your mum is halal, but if she tells u to do haram then it is haram for you to obey her, so if someone said Ban The Obeing of Mothers, that would seem wrong, but we would have to look at the context.

Its a pretty rubbish example but, similarly, banning the veil would be wrong, but in the context of banning it in circumstances where indentity needs to be established then I see no problem.
 
I'm not a native English speaker, so I guess your right bro. At least it's a bit misleading, don't you agree?
 
I think Saudi Arabia is the smartest of all Muslim nations.restricitng the practice of Christians.

He said ban it in public places and wear it only in private. Nothing to do with only places that need ID.

Anyway, at the airport they can check you out once at the appropriate time, what's the point of banning it in the whole airport!?

it stops Christians bossing you around.stops you from controlling you and taking over Muslim lands.
I have stopped trusting Christians now.they seem to be more and more intolerant of Muslim practices.filthy hypocrites.they have a lot of puppets in Bangladesh too.that's why I am so worried.they are using the liberal secularists to get more and more power in Bangladesh.heck if Islamic fundamentalism(a phrase that contains more inaccuracies than a book does) or terrorism existed in Bangladesh they wouldn't have survived.stupid people.

Let's no generalise it to christians perse. You will find those people from muslims. Hence muslim secularists in bangladesh.

U r partially right brother.....In fact S. Arabia is only muslim/islamic nation in the world today......rest are all kufr regiems, who chose to abandon laws of ALLAH and have replaced them with their own man-made laws.

And ALLAH knows best.
