As a transplanted Yankee, I will say that in the Southern US "Grits" is served with every meal. It is a known fact Yankees hate grits. I suspect they do that so us Yankees will move back north.
People over there eat grits too? Is it the yellow type? Because Bahamians Looooove Grits, Grits and Tuna, Grits and avacado, Grits and boiled fish, Grits and stewed fish, Grits every morning!

the most common you will find here is the white grits. Looks and tastes like wet sawdust. Hard to believe it is made out of corn.
