MODERATES REFUTED

Al-Hamdu 'lillah, we have launched our new site fully upgraded and with new articles. Our pages cover almost all the topics which the "moderates" have distorted. The primary goal of the site is to challenge the "moderates" and hold live debates. Soon, we will open a Pal Talk room Insha'Allah. Spread the link, and I ask that Allah (SWT) gives us utmost success, Ameen !

:sl:

Let me guess- by moderates you really mean pseudo-moderates and liberals?

Mashaallah, may Allah reward your efforts. :thumbs_up

Actually some of those people potrayed as moderate? They are extreme in a sense.

I been to the forum, that was linked to the site.
Do they teach aqeedah there?

My big problem is I do not see any clear cut defining points that distinguish between Conservative, Moderate or Liberal. It seems that everybody has a different definition as to what a moderate is.

Also a person can be either of them and still be a radical or extremist.

Like an extreme conservative, or an extreme liberal.

Correct, either one can be carried to the point of defeating it's own pupose.

I'm not too certain how moderate could be carried to an extreme, but if it can be done, I'm certain it has been.

One can be extreme in their religion meaning either being to much to the right or to the left from the middle path.

Defining when soemone is going to the extreme is hard for new muslim, even me (which I am relatively new to Islam in terms of knowledge and understanding).

One need to study Aqeedah first. I am sure if you one of the knowledgable Mod they can present you with information. It is very important for all muslim to study it.

If thing's people practice, believe, say does not conform to the Quran and the Sunnah than they are going into extreme in the religion.
Some of these extremities can be from negligence to excessiveness in practicing one faith, and or act of kufr, bidah and shirk.

i agree with you fully. Unfortunately those who write often use the terms in accordance with their own definitions and that is were confusion comes into play.

From what I see in many articles when the word moderate is used it seems to be more of a description of an extreme liberal.

Yes that is what most of these people do. That is why it my be quite difficult for some people to tell, especially non-muslims.

Re: MODERTES REFUTED - Silencing Those Who Sugar Coat The Deen

lol I did rep you.

It is some random poster, who is posting un-islamic material. Depicting women in an unfashionable, inhumane, beastly manner. Some men take enjoyment out of such depiction, I guess, and not to mention some women. So I thought I being a gentleman will do the honour of clearing up such trash.

Please quote what in the website is depiciting women. I am a sister, a revert, and I have not been offended by any of the content. So if you would be so kind and present what you are talking about, it would be most appreciated.

Also, who are you to judge on what is islamic and not?

JazakAllahu Khayr

Salam Alaikum sister:

I don't think they are referring to the website that was posted. :)

Welcome to the forum, btw. :)

Wasalam,
Hana

Oh ok Ukhti. JazakAllahu Khayr for informing me. My apologies.

BarakAllahu Feeq for the warm welcome as well.

Sis, the discussion about Moderate e.t.c is not refering to the website but those people who claim to be moderate.

The funniest one I can point is Irshad Manji.

I agree.

Also ukhti, I forgot to put BarakAllahu Feeqi, I put Feeq on accident.

For one thing I don't see why people must label themselves as moderates, extremists and/or liberalists. I thought people hate labels? I am just content to be called a Muslim. But then again, maybe I am being naive.

I just finished translating an article from English to Malay for my dad. It's about how neo-cons and ultra-nationalists in Washington trying to restrict the freedom of world governments which do not conform to their own policies and principles. I am thinking, neo-cons and ultras. Serves them right for labeling other people.

I also have a question to the Moderate Refuted Brothers and Sisters, where do you take your methodology of refuting from?

Our room is open now on paltalk. Directions:

Religion and Theology –> Islam –> ‘Moderate Musims’ Refuted.

Greetings,

Can I ask: Is the image of Islam that is presented on the 'Moderates Refuted' website really the image that the staff of LI want to support? Look at the vitriol on display there:

So, here I ask: Is islam a religion of peace? No it is not, Allah (SWT) clearly tells us to fight the kuffar till Islam is dominant and the kuffar have both stoped occupying our land and are paying Jizyah.

We declare our utmost animosity, rejection, and hatred to those who have rejected the Allah (SWT) and his Messenger (SAWS) (i.e non-muslims), and to those who sugar-coat and compromise this deen (Munafiqeen [Hypocrites])

Peace
