how anyone can watch cricket is beyond me,
Just how anyone can watch/promote hollywood is beyond me. Cricket has team building, health bringing qualities as well as International relations primer.

What does hollywood teach other than pornography, then zina of eyes and then ....

I'm Pakistani too. Sorry if I offended you. I was just speaking my mind. I know not every Pakistani is more interested in cricket than Islam, but I'm sure you'll agree that entirely too many take cricket more seriously than Islam.

I agree 100%.

What i find most annoying is all the backbiting done about all the cricketers( not specefic). Calling them bad names when they dont do well, is really unbearable for me. Its the same at homes, at school/colleges/uni/ hospitals...........go to markets/stores everywhere its CRICKET, CRICKET.................AND CRICKET.

And the simplest thing is that ppl dont understand that if two teams are playing, one has to win and the other has to lose...........so y the fuss.
There is no sportsman spirit in the public.........

If somebody is offended, i apologize.I am not against cricket, but moderation is required in everything.

Just a thought, but one brother pointed out what would have been if many Pakistanis were as serious about Islam as they were about Cricket.

Your thoughts welcomed...:statisfie

This is only your misconception that Pakistanis are very serious about cricket and non-serious about Islam.

Pakistanis are very good sportsmen. They take cricket as a sports only. They don't bring cricket into Islam. They never talk about cricket during a prayer. They don't destroy anything in the name of cricket too. On the other hand they're very serious about Islam. They bring Islam into everything including cricket. They pray or do sajda even in the cricket ground during the game. They can destroy anything in the name of Islam, even themselves. You had no other people more serious about Islam than Pakistanis. Remember? when Babri mosque was attacked by Hindus in India, Pakistanis destroyed their own public properties in Pakistan as a protest. In contrast, governments of Muslim countries deported those Pakistanis who tried to show their grief on the incident of Babri mosque in middle east countries.

There's nothing common in Cricket and Islam. I don't understand why some people think cricket has to do something with Islam or Islam has to do something with cricket. However, I don't see anyone bringing cricket into Islam, which is a very good thing. It only hurts Islam when some people bring Islam into cricket.
