There are a number of things that I find disturbing here. A person doing what they need to do to survive is not one of them.

How do you call, doing what you need to do to stop your child from starving, an evil act?
I find this an act of undying love, caring and devotion.
What is evil are the people that will not help them without abusing them.

Of course you have the idiots that think current events started it.
Too stupid to understand it was there before and it will be there after.
They always look for someone to blame. They need to look in the mirror.
There is a reason it is called “The World’s Oldest Profession”.

Most disturbing of all to me is what happens to these victims besides the personal abuse given to them by there customers.

Society looks at them with discuss, the law makes them criminals, and the religious tell them they are going to hell.

When was the last time you thought of helping these victims?

Since your posts supposed to be about 'looking down' on people who blame others, then stop accusing the 'religious' of something they never said. Alright?

Are you telling me all those "Really Good" come forth to help them get to heaven? Not hardly. They sit in there confortible little place an say "your going to hell". Some of those same good people are totally happy to send them on the trip.

Again, quote me anyone who's said that on this thread?

Anyway, even if someone was to send money to support them they would be on the watchlist for 'supporting terrorism.'

The world does not start with, revolve around, or end with this thread.
In the real world, what I said is true and you know it.

It is much easier to look the other way and blame the victim for their own circumstance. There are two distinct forms of prostitution however. There is the sex slave trade, and the more commercial form of prostitution in which the women are willing participants. Granted, most of the more commerical forms of prostitution exist in the West, where women can make alot of money. Unfortunately, this practice of forced prostitution exists in the West as well. I recall an incident in the midwestern United States not long ago where a forced sex ring was broken up by the Feds. Sad situation, and one not fully realized by the majority of people.

If you've read the thread, you'll realise we prayed for them. That's something good, we sympathised for them. And we pray that Allaah removes their hardship and grants them ease, and anyone else who is oppressed. ameen.

muslims are smarter than you americans, you americans always say erm why didnt you help your fellow muslims under saddam, perhaps muslim goverments didnt react because their not stupid cowboys who think you can achieve goals and success through a campain of large scale bombing and destruction which would then lead to civil war and complete tyrany and chaos as we see now, perhaps they sadly knew at that moment of time saddam was the better of the 2 evils, and although with his evils and tyranny there was still some sort of order and law, and a possibly coup could be done once he died.

but nooooo we will be a cowboy and bomb the country back to babylon unleashing every millitia group and every islamic group to wage over a dozen different civil wars and then to allow the kurds to break away forming their own country which will lead to war with turkey which lead to many many more conflicts which will then lead to another civil war between the turkmen and arabs in iraq vs the kurds and onnnnn it goes. perhaps this is why muslims didnt act to make a huge war with saddam, because they are smart and so the after-math consequences of a war which would lead to worse chaos and tyranny than saddam!

and im only saying this because i know someone here is gonna make the comment saying whyyyyy didnt you muslims fix saddam up in the first place! and this btw isnt off topic, it is all related. because whenever we critisize the americans for attacking iraq which lead to the threads topic, they counter saying then why didnt u muslims do anything! and these are a few reasons as to why we didnt act then.

wow it must be so easy to speak when you are speaking of the past.. yes in retrospect it is very easy to see what would have happened if arab governments overthrew Saddam, however they were cowards and didnt want to spend their money or sell a gold toilet to take care of things did they? I am sure they would have had to deal with Al-Qaeda stirring things up too right? I am sure they would have done a lot of things, but instead they just invited the US to their countries and offered up help, that way their money is spent and their countries are directly to blame for anything. It is very easy now to say that the country would go into civil war, isnt it... you should be a scholar

Anyways it is sad that these women have to resort to this, you would think the brave mujahideen would help these women out with money rather than bomb civilian targets daily....

what is really sad is your unwavering ignorance and stupidity

By the way I noticed your stupid little comment about the petro, how many posts does it take for you to get it through your thick skull that the US doesnt even get much of its gas from Iraq? How hard is it for you to understand that there isnt one single drop of proof to back that dilapidated ignorant outdated ridiculous claim up..... or is it just that you spew whatever garbage you can think of first no matter how true or false it may be?

I think if you really look at the facts you will find that the people who do the trade and make nice sums of money, are the few minority. More common is sexual slavery. Most, the vast majority are victims of drugs and abuse. I say people because this is not a “Woman Only” trade. It involves many young boys and girls. Adult males are often victims too. Many of these “Criminals” are from abusive homes that they ran away from. Kids that got hooked on drugs or made other mistakes that are now destroying there lives.
Now they are being abused by there customers but can’t go to the police.
They go to there pimp who abuses them.
These people are desperate for help.
How do we help them?
We make the criminals.

:sl:/Peace To All

That is so sad. Those poor souls have endured so much misery since the First Gulf War.

May Allah (SWT) reward them for their patience in plight, and end their nightmare soon...

Please try and keep the discussion to the story in the first post, rather than the Iraq war in general.
