Gangster Youth..

It saddens me,
When I see brothers and sisters being gangster wannabe’s

Not praying like they should,
Hanging on street corners in the hood,

Fighting over gang turf,
Like something outta the smurfs,

Hanging out like thugz,
Drinking alcohol and taking drugs,

Even when its Ramadan,
They don’t give two about islam,

They’d rather live there twisted ideologies,
But on the last day there won’t be time for apologies,

They tryna be the next best thing,
But listen carefully to my linguistic sting,

Islam aint just for Fridays,
If you think that prepare to be set ablaze,

So keep hold of your imaan,
And follow the Islamic clan,

The reward in the hereafter is gonna be greater,
So keep Islamic, coz we all gonna die sooner or later,

Don’t kid yourself into thinking your still young,
Indeed this is the shaytaans tongue,

Take heed of the quran and sunnah,
And islam will take you to jannah.

mashAllah so true. one thing that can get the youth to get over lowly people such as the actors, musicions and other celebrities is to get them to know who the real hero's r, the WHOLE life of Muhammad (saws) because even myself when i was young i was told bits and pieces here and there about him, and it wasnt until i looked into his life i actually knew who the man really was, and other sahaba (r.a) such as (my personal favourites) 'umar bin khattab, abu dharr al-ghafaari (r.a) and even a female muslim role models such as A'isha bint abi bakr (r.a) to show the personality of a true muslimah. THESE are the real heros, no human being alive can compare to them!

yeah i agree, but i think the poem is referring to him if he dies in disbelief, and even if he becomes a muslim the best of role models is Muhammad (saws).
