Ramadhan kareem for all the muslim and muslimah...may Allah reward you abundantly this Ramadhan

:sl:
ramadan kareem everyone.

Is saying Ramadan Mubarak be bidah

Question:
Is saying "Ramadan Mubarak" or "Ramadan Kareem" considered to be bid3ah?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

There is nothing wrong with congratulating one another at the beginning of the month. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to tell his Companions the good news of the onset of Ramadaan, and urge them to make the most of it. Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘There has come to you Ramadaan, a blessed month. Allaah has made it obligatory on you to fast (this month). During it the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are locked, and the devils are chained up. In it there is a night that is better than a thousand months, and whoever is deprived of its goodness is deprived indeed.’” (Reported by al-Nisaa'i, 4/129; Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1/490)

And Allaah knows best.

So.. how many brothers and sisters actually follow the sighting of the moon? And how many of you follow the Calculations your local mosque calculate?

do you mean how many of us are fasting based on what our local mosque has told us in terns of moon sighting, or in terms of actual calculations.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic Lunar calendar and the holiest of the four holy months. It begins with the sighting of the new moon after which all physically mature and healthy Muslims are obliged to abstain from all food, drink, gum chewing, any kind of tobacco use, and any kind of sexual contact between dawn and sunset. However, that is merely the physical component of the fast; the spiritual aspects of the fast include refraining from gossiping, lying, slandering and all traits of bad character. All obscene and irreligious sights and sounds are to be avoided. Purity of thought and action is paramount. Ordained in the Quran, the fast is an exacting act of deeply personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of God-consciousness. The act of fasting redirects the hearts away from worldly activities, towards The Divine.

RAMADAN MUBARAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what i've heard, some mosques in Australia announced ON MONDAY that Ramadan begins on FRIDAY.

That is just pure and simply HARAM.

The Cresent/Hilal must be SITED inorder for the beginning of Ramadan to be valid!
