At what age did you start praying 5 times a day?

at 7 ... i remember i was competiting with my cousin whoever salah five times a day... lol

i always win...but my intention more towards to compete my cousin not really to focus on salah :hiding: :X

And my son going to be 4 this October, has already memorise al-fatihah, suratul-ikhlas, 'subhanarabi'al a'la wabihamdih' , subhanarabial a'la a'zimi wabihamdi and iftitah....

The only thing is he always try to avoid salah...and give so many excuses :hmm:

^ Well I guess that's normal, Sheikh Albani rahimahullah said we shouldn't really try to push salaat on kids when they are so young, but instead just begin making them really practise it when they are 7 like how the hadeeth states :)

Alhamdulillah i started praying very young, but i took it seriously & understood its benefits when i was about 6-7 yrs, Alhamdulillah. At this age, i was praying by myself:statisfie May Allah (swt) reward my parents for their strict upbringing,,Aameen!

I started to pray at age 6 or 7 im not that sure. It was just normal to me to pray.

I cant remember exactly how old i was when i started, early, but i started reading seriously when i was about 11.
 
I started when I was 16. I started reading Maghrib when I was around 14 and during the 2 years I slowly started reading 5 times. Alhamdulilah.

At first I had difficulty getting up for Fajr at the start but Alhamdulilah I got used to it.
 
actually my parent were very strict about praying so, I started praying from 9. Al humdu lilallah
 
^ Ameen, its not important how young you start at, its important how old you finish at....


worst thing is dying without establishing salaah, or establishing it and then dying after abandoning it.
