I really wanna learn Farsi...please? please help me ... this thread you can do anyways or get any sites for all the ppl who wanna learn farsi..i kno the letters ..they easy cuz they just arabic wit other dots added and all to make 'p' and 'v' and all... i know spanish english arabic...and i wanna learn farsi... after watching the iranian shows i really get there language cuz its really has alot in common wit arabic like hi is salam and all so yeah...but i wanna learn it perfectly that way i dunt have to read the translation in english at the bottom.lol...this is for everyone who want to learn farsi btw..

You can listen to islamic nasheeds in Persian or watch iranian movies..
i do so.. i suggest; Majid Majidi's movies.. like "Children of Heaven", "Color of Paradise" and "Baran"..

I speak farsi but not the Iranian version. I am Afghan and I do not understand Iranians in those t.v shows you watch....

I understand all the words posted in the thread though... I would think you have to hear the person say the words rather then reading a transliteration...

Taq taq = Knock knock

Kee haste = who is it?
Mastum = It is me.
Namit chi hast = what is your name? (informal)
Namum Omaid hast = My name is Omaid (hope)
Omaid ki? Omaid who?

Omaidwar hastum ki = I hope that you
-darwaza = door
-waz = open
-maykunan = will perform (action)

Kujo Mayri = Where are you going? (informal) Add mayran to be formal

Zindagi = live
Kujo zindagi Maykuni = Where do you live? (informal delete 'i' and add 'an' to make it formal/plural)

Everything was correct except.. well here:

Jiz = i have no idea.. lol Don't = Naa Kon!

bionjey should sound more like Bia Inja.. :) Hope I helped.

Firman Allah : God says
Khoja : merchant
Pokhta : poor
Sabda Rasulullah : Rasulullah said

Those are all that I can think for now.
