maybe she is mummified?

Those pharaohs must be very envy as she can be mummified without taking her brain, internal organs out....

She just took a cup of tea and became a mummy...:omg:

Why am I not surprised? That's the former Yugoslavia to you. It ain't that odd.

This world is darn it completely nuts. Weeks ago I watched the German television, and they were telling about a woman who had been searching for her brother who'd been missing for over 2 years. She had alarmed the police and such. A grown-up man. Then suddenly he is there again and where had he been? Inside his house. Nothing more.

And how about those news of that perverted father is Austria? And if I remember correctly, a story of a woman who had been stuck to a toilet seat for two years while her boyfriend tried to coax her out of the bathroom? She was in the can for two years. You would have thought some of her friends would notice her missing, no? No.

Everyone's nuts!

No, that ain't that weird actually. Depends were you live and how the culture is there.. I haven't heard or seen my neighbours for a long time and as bad as it may sound, I don't care that much and it would never ever occur our mind to go and check, sadly. People just don't normally do it here.

Well if it's an own house, then yes, then I'd probably do something, but when it's apartments.. Njaaah. No.

IbnAbdulHakim, if you're really worried, call the police and ask to come and check. Also ask them to keep you anonymous.

:sl:

Ye, Sis Al-Zaara i'm guessing your right about the apartments..iN apartments no one notices but I mean like houses..I would always notice my neighbors because well they had a very cute little daughter and the father was a teacher at my school pfftt...ye..nyways

I think if Bro Ibn AbdulHakim calls the cops they'll think he'z weird..you can do that but first i think you need to knock on there door or ring the bell..i think they'll feel your friendly if they are in there..but as you said it depends

Aleykum selam,

About the dead old woman, it did say apartment. I am pretty sure the situation would have been a lil more different if it was a house.

Most people will find it weird if someone called the police to just go and check the neighbour, out of worry. Yes, worry and caring for your neighbour is found weird. That's why I said to keep him anonymous. Of course, he should go and knock on the door first! lol :D Or check out of the window? Or call them? Or ask other neighbours about them?

This was the one in london it was so sad and not far from my area

A WOMAN lay dead in her flat for almost three years with the heating and TV on before her body was found.

Joyce Vincent's skeleton was surrounded by unopened Christmas presents and stacks of unopened mail had built up on her doormat.

The 40-year-old's body was so decomposed that the only way to identify her was to compare dental records with a holiday photograph of her smiling.

Ms Vincent was found lying on her back on the floor of the living room, which also doubled as a bedroom.

Police believe she probably died of natural causes in early 2003 but an inquest at Hornsey Coroner's Court today heard she was not found until January this year 2007

She had apparently been placed in the women's refuge accommodation as a victim of domestic violence, a spokesman for the coroner said.

Officials from Metropolitan Housing Trust only visited the bedsit in Wood Green, north east London, on January 25 because thousands of pounds of rent arrears had piled up.

When they drilled the door open they discovered stacks of unopened post, dating back almost three years and medication and food with February 2003 expiry dates.

Pathologist Dr Simon Poole told the inquest he had been unable to establish the cause of death because the remains were "largely skeletal", but police do not regard the circumstances as suspicious.

Deputy Coroner Andrew Walker recorded an open verdict.

I'm not gonna be able to get to grips with this..

this is nothing, I have the story to end all stories and it just happened the last time my mom was on vacation, in my aunt's building if you can believe it.. a homosexual boy was found dead, killed by one of his lovers.. everyone thought he was a law student.. but they said the smell was positively unbearable, that by the third day they knew for sure there was a dead body.. my poor aunts were shaking so much especially when they took out his body..
my mom said the state 'coroner's car' was a pick up truck (lol) and they took a blanket from my aunt to cover the body because they didn't have body bags.. which is equally hilarious..

she brought back the pix from the newspaper but my dad tore them before I had a look... I wish someone would find me that article again.. but yes the world is full of odd upsetting news.........
