Yeh it was, Alhamdulillah. I think though it could have just been segregated a bit more, (or a lot) but apart from that it was a great day.

Sis amani, there were wudhu facilities there, i was told by one of the stall holders, unless they were for men only. Were you running a stall there?

:w:

I agree, we had to go right to the other end of the park to eat. it would have been nice if they'd had a closed off area for the sisters and one for the bros or something. Still it was worth going for the lectures and stuff. Wasn't Yvonne Ridely supposed to be there? or maybe she did turn up and i never noticed lol

:sl:

lol the lectures were awesome mashaAllaah, n Jalal Ibn Sa'eed is sooo full of life! :) Kamal Uddin's recitation of surah al asr was amazing!
mashaAllaah, may Allaah reward them all!!!!

enjoyed the BBQ also

wasn't me, do I get cake? :p

SubhanAllaah, we have soooo many blessings to be grateful for..family, friends, food, health, a fun day out etc alhamdulillaah. There are those out there who are starving wid hunger, imprisoned.. tortured etc. One day Allaah will ask us abt the days we enjoyed n our countless blessings. Lets not forget our duty to Him... n our duty to our brothers n sisters who are less fortunate then us. Help them, and remember them in ur du'aas always.

Sorry didn't mean to shock you with my sheepSy presence! :-[ Now be a good nani! :p

The weather was lovely mashaallaah and the lectures were awesome! Jalal ibn saeed was great!! And I like the way the guy with the loadspeaker was telling all the brothers off for not coming to pray!

Oh and the BBQ was yum:D (chicken of course! :raging:)

So true, May Allah give the muslims gratitude for what we have and prevent us from doing israaf. And ya Allah protect our Muslim brothers and sisters who have been suffering at the stake of their religiong while we are sitting here in luxury... ameen:cry:

:w:
i asked a few of the volunteers where there was wudhu facilities, one told me theres a big tub of water outside the tents but when i asked the volunteers by the tents they told me theres none and u gotta do wudhu urself and can pray at the back of the tent.
and yes i was :hiding:

and yeh that jalal guy was really interesting. At the end he was doing a talk on eid, was really nice:statisfie and pixie you did almost make me fall when you managed to scare me :rollseyes i still cant get over how you guys managed to do that :raging:

and AR yeh, yvonne ridley was supposed to be there.. dunno what happened. :?

Murtaza Khan's speech was a bit disappointing though it was okay, Jalal Ibn Sa'eed's was emaan-boosting but he said some dodgy stuff...

Us bros had a stall we made loads Alhamdulillaah, all the moneys for charity anywayz...and Yvonne Ridley couldnt make it, she had to go to another country, cant remember which...

the free-mixing was messed.

btw this is Abu Ghurabah not Noorideen

Abdullah i forgot about you, never even saw you there man...where you hiding?

Salaam,

Lol sis amani didn't know you'd be there 8-)

It was good... but as the brother mentioned segregation was an issue.. which is of course difficult but it would have been good to have the stalls in a better location etc.. Coz it seemed to become quite cramped. :| I didn't even get any food.... :o0 highlight of the day gone!

Nah Subhanallah, Allah reward the organisers for their sincere and great efforts. They did a great job from their side I think and it's clear as well. You can't control the majority of people from wandering into the 'other space'. The speeches were good - but I think it's down to the individuals for their lack of interest in the speeches, As brother Jalal pointed out.

Peoples priorities are different nowadays, it was more a fun day out for majority than a day to spend in benefitting the soul and educating oneself in Deen.

Allah have Mercy..

Lol no, i saw you once, but i was on my way to drop my sister off to my dad, and when i came back you were gone. You were busy though, Masha'Allah!

Masha'Allah was a fabbb dayy! Only had a few issues but lol I'm sure we can overlok them since the rest of it was good :p and btw Rose_Ice, you did see Humble Servant.:p

And LOL....annoying thing was the bro's blocking ur path asking for dontations, its like...'erm, I already paid the entrance fee like three times' and then another dude comes and asks for it again. A little rude when they give u no way to get past. But I made my lil sis give it and she cudnt get the cash into the box...lol

Oh and we didnt get a donkey ride piskel :p not that we would have but anyway...and btw..I dont think the segregation was that bad....like the families and bro's was mostly at top and if the sisters had stayed towards the borrom wudda been good...I missed Kamaluddin tho :(

And Jalal Ibn Sa'eed, I thought was quite good actually, although I didnt pay proper attention :-[ and I missed the rest of the lectures since....erm what was I doing? :p lol I dunno :-[ But yeahh....best thing was meeting 5 LI sisters :p :D
