    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

    13th Rabi al-Thani 1435 (13th February 2014)

Narrated Abu Waqid Al-Laithi (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

While Allah's Apostle was sitting in the mosque with some people, three men
came. Two of them came in front of Allah's Apostle and the third one went
away. The two persons kept on standing before Allah's Apostle for a while
and then one of them found a place in the circle and sat there while the
other sat behind the gathering, and the third one went away. When Allah's
Apostle finished his preaching, he said, "Shall I tell you about these
three persons? One of them be-took himself to Allah, so Allah took him into
His grace and mercy and accommodated him, the second felt shy from Allah,
so Allah sheltered Him in His mercy (and did not punish him), while the
third turned his face from Allah and went away, so Allah turned His face
    from him likewise. "

    Narrated Ibn Mas'ud (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to take care of us in

Hazrat Harithah bin Wahab’ (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) saying, "Shall I not inform you about the people of Jannah? It is every person who is, modest and humble (before Allah), a person who is accounted weak and is looked down upon but if he adjures Allah, Allah will certainly give him what he desires. Now shall I not inform you about the inmates of Hell? It is every violent, impertinent and proud man". [Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 440].

Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "My parable and that of yours is like a man who kindled a fire. When it has illuminated all around him, the moths and grasshoppers began to fall therein. He tried to push them away, but they overcame him and jumped into it. I am catching hold of your waists ties (to save you) from fire, but you slip away from my hands". [Muslim Book 030, Chapter 06, Hadith # 5672].

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The religion (of Islam) is easy, and whoever makes the religion a rigour, it will overpower him. So, follow a middle course (in worship); if you can’t do this, do something near to it and give glad tidings and seek help (of Allah) at morn and at dusk and some part of night". Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Never a Prophet had been sent before me by Allah to his people but he had, among his people, (his) disciples and companions, who followed his ways and obeyed his command. Then there came after them their successors who proclaimed what they did not practice, and practiced what they were not commanded to do. And (he) who strove against them with his hand is a believer; he who strove against them with his heart is a believer; and he who strove against them with his tongue is a believer ; and beyond that there is no grain of Faith". Hazrat Aamir bin Sad bin Abi Waqqas narrated from his father Hazrat Saad bin Abi Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported & said, I have never heard The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) saying about anybody walking on the earth that he is from the people of Paradise except Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (May Allah be pleased with him). The following Verse was revealed in Surah Al-Ahqaf (Ayat 10) concerning him: " Say: "Tell me! If this (Qur’an) is from Allah, and you deny it, and a witness from among the Children of Israel (Abdullah bin Salam) testifies that this Qur’an is from Allah [like the Taurat (Torah)], so he believed (embraced Islam) while you are too proud (to believe)." Verily! Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers and wrong-doing). (46.10) [Al-Bukhari Book 05, Chapter 58, Hadith # 157].

Narrated Al Mughira bin Shuba: On the day of Ibrahim’s death, the sun eclipsed and the people said that the eclipse was due to the death of Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet). Allah’s Apostle said, “The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone’s death or life. So when you see them, invoke Allah and pray till the eclipse is clear. Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 18 Hadith 168
