    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to perform Itikaf every

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    29th Ramadan 1436 (16th July 2015)

Narrated Ali bin Al-Husain (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Safiya, the wife of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) told me that
she went to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) to visit him in
the mosque while he was in Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.

She had a talk with him for a while, then she got up in order to return home. The
Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) accompanied her.

When they reached the gate of the mosque, opposite the door of Um-Salama, two Ansari men were
passing by and they greeted Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam).
He told them: Do not run away! And said, "She is (my wife) Safiya bint
    Huyai."

Both of them said, "Subhan Allah, (How dare we think of any evil) O
Allah's Apostle!" And they felt it. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) said (to them), "Satan reaches everywhere in the human body as
blood reaches in it, (everywhere in one's body). I was afraid lest Satan
might insert an evil thought in your minds."

Abdullah ibn Hisham reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he was holding the hand of Umar ibn Al-Khattab. Umar said to him, “O Messenger of Allah, you are more beloved to me than everything except for myself.” The Prophet said, “No, by the one in whose Hand is my soul, until I am more beloved to you than yourself.” Umar said, “Indeed, now I swear by Allah that you are more beloved to me than myself.” The Prophet said, “Now you are right, O Umar.”

Awf ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, performed the funeral prayer and I memorized his supplication, “O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, make him well, and pardon him. Dignify his residence and make his resting place spacious. Cleanse him with water, snow, and ice. Purify him from sins just as a white garment is purified from dirt. Offer him a home better than his home, people better than his people, and a wife better than his wife. Admit him into Paradise and save him from the punishment of the grave and the Hellfire.” Awf said, “The Prophet continued supplicating until I wished that I had been that dead person.”

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever swears by a
religion other than Islam (i.e. if somebody swears by saying that he is a
non-Muslim e.g., a Jew or a Christian, etc.), if his oath is false, he is
really so. And a person is not bound to fulfill a vow about a thing which
    he does not possess.

And if somebody commits suicide with anything in this
    world, he will be tortured with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection;
And if somebody curses a believer, then his sin will be as if he murdered
him; And whoever accuses a believer of Kufr (disbelief), then it is as if
    he killed him."

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    13th Shawwal 1436 (29th July 2015)

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The worst people in the
Sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be the double faced people
who appear to some people with one face and to other people with another
    face."

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Ask Allah for beneficial knowledge and seek refuge in Allah from knowledge without benefit.”
