    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Reported by Ibn `Umar (رضي الله عنه ) :
    The Messenger of Allah (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) said,
"Do not indulge in excessive talk except when remembering Allah.
    Excessive talking without the Remembrance of Allah hardens the heart;
and those who are the farthest from Allah are those whose hearts are hard.''

Narrated Abu Huraira RA: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Not to wish to be the like except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the (knowledge of the) Qur'an and he recites it during the hours of night and day and the one who wishes says: If I were given the same as this (man) has been given, I would do what he does, and a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the just and right way, in which case the one who wishes says, 'If I were given the same as he has been given, I would do what he does.' Jabir bin Abdullah RA narrated that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever says, when he hears the call: (Allahumma, rabba hadhihidda 'watit-tammati was Salatilqa'imah, ati Muhammadanil wasilata wal-Fadilata, wab'athhu Maqamun Mahmudan alladhi wa'adtahu) 'O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and established prayer, grant Muhammad Al-Wasilah and Al-Fadilah, and raise him to the praised station that you promised him' - then intercession on the Day of Resurrection is made lawful for him." Narrated Abu Bakr RA: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The biggest of the great sins are: To join others in worship with Allah, to be undutiful to one's parents, and to give a false witness." He repeated it thrice, or said, "....a false statement," and kept on repeating that warning till we wished he would stop saying it. (Bukhari - Vol. 9, Book 84, Hadith 54)

WHO IS THE BEST OF PEOPLE?

When asked who the best of people were, Rasulullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم replied, “The one who fears Allaah the most, who most actively joins family ties, who most avidly instructs people to do good and forbids them from evil.”

    Narrated `Abdullah bin Mas`ud ():
Allah's Messenger () said, "None has more sense of ghaira than Allah, and for this He has forbidden shameful sins whether committed openly or secretly, and none loves to be praised more than Allah does, and this is why He Praises Himself."

Ibn Mas’ud () narrated that the Messenger of Allah () said:
“One of the things people have learned from the words of the earliest prophecies is, “If you don’t feel any shame, do whatever you like.”
