    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

On the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said, ” Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter. Whoever alleviates [the situation of] one in dire straits who cannot repay his debt, Allah will alleviate his lot in both this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals [the faults of] a Muslim, Allah will conceal [his faults] in this life and the Hereafter. Allah is helping the servant as long as the servant is helping his brother. Whoever follows a path in order to seek knowledge thereby, Allah will make easy doe him, due to it, a path to Paradise. No people gather together in a house of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descended upon them, mercy covers them, the angels surround them and Allah makes mention of them to those in His presence. Whoever is slowed by his deeds will not be hastened forward by his lineage.”(Recorded in Muslim)

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) once saw a youngster performing a prolonged Salah. He asked, ‘Who knows this person’? A man replied, ‘I know him’. ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) then said, ‘Had I known him, I would have ordered him to lengthen his ruku’ and sajdah [as well], for I have heard Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) say,‘When a servant stands up to offer Salah, his sins are brought and placed on his head or shoulders. Each time he bows in ruku’ or prostrates his sins fall off’(Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 1734 and As Sunanul Kubra of Imam Bayhaqi, vol. 3 pg. 10. Refer: Al Muhaddhab of Hafiz Dhahabi, Hadith: 4165)

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says, “Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) once asked a Bedouin, ‘Have you ever been affected with Ummu Mildam’? The Bedouin inquired, ‘What is Ummu Mildam’? Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) replied, ‘Heat between the flesh and skin’ [i.e. fever]. The Bedouin said, I have never had fever. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then asked, ‘Have you experienced a headache’?. The Bedouin asked, ‘What is headache’? Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, ‘A vein that beats in the head of a person’. The Bedouin said: ‘No, I have not experienced that ever’! Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: ‘Whoever would like to see a man from the people of Jahannam, then look at this man”(Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 2916, Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 1 pg. 347 and Al Adabul Mufrad of Imam Bukhari, Hadith: 495)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Narrated Khalid bin Sad (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

We went out and Ghalib bin Abjar was accompanying us. He fell ill on the
way and when we arrived at Medina he was still sick. Ibn Abi 'Atiq came to
visit him and said to us, "Treat him with black cumin. Take five or seven
seeds and crush them (mix the powder with oil) and drop the resulting
mixture into both nostrils, for 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha) has narrated to
me that she heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, 'This
black cumin is healing for all diseases except As-Sam.' Aisha (Radi-Allahu
'anha) said, 'What is As-Sam?' He said, 'Death."

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    19th Rajab 1438 (16th April 2017)

    Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to treat some of his wives
by passing his right hand over the place of ailment and used to say,

"O Allah, the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble and heal the patient, for
You are the Healer. No healing is of any avail but Yours; healing that will
    leave behind no ailment."

Narrated Mujahid:'Abdullah bin 'Umar ra said, "Allah's Apostle s.a.w took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler." The sub-narrator added: Ibn 'Umar used to say, "If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death."(Bukhari)
