    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Our Beloved Nabi (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) has mentioned:

"Indeed your Rabb has reserved certain special moments in time (in which He emits abundant/special mercy). Be sure to avail yourselves for these opportunities."

Narrated Anas (RA): Zaid bin Thabit (RA) said, "We took the Suhur with the Prophet (peace be upon him). Then he stood for the prayer." I asked, "What was the interval between the Suhur and the Adhan?" He replied, "The interval was sufficient to recite fifty verses of the Qur'an."

Nawas ibn Sam’an reported that Rasulullah (SAW) was asked about doing good and evil. He replied, “Doing good is having good manners. Doing evil is what troubles you inside and what you would not like others to know about.” (Al-Bukhari)

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The fast and the Quran are two intercessors for the servant of Allah on the Day of Resurrection. The fast will say, ‘O Lord, I prevented him from his food and desires during the day. Let me intercede for him.’ The Quran will say, ‘I prevented him from sleeping at night. Let me intercede for him.’ And their intercession will be accepted.” [Ahmad]

Hadhrat Sahl bin Sa’d (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Indeed this goodness of Islam are treasures (of Allah Ta’ala). And these treasures have keys (to its doors). May glad tidings be for that servant whom Allah Ta’ala has made a key for goodness and a lock for evil; and may destruction be for that servant whom Allah Ta’ala has made a key for evil and a lock for good (deeds).”

Asma (radi Allahu anha) narrated: “I was once with my neighbour friends when the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) passed near me. He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said Salam to us and observed, ‘Avoid being ungrateful to those whom you owe a debt of gratitude to. One of you for instance lives with her parents in an unmarried state for a long period. Then Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) confers upon her a husband. Subsequently, Allah grants her offspring. Yet, in spite of all these favours when she feels enraged with her husband on some matter she utters, ‘Never have I received anything good from you.’” [Al-Adaab ul-Mufrad]

It was narrated from Mahmoud ibn Labid that he said: When Sa`d received a wound (of an arrow) in his arm vein, he could hardly move and then he was referred to a woman called Rufaydah, who used to treat the wounded (in the Mosque).
Hence, when the Prophet s.a.w passed by him (in the evening), he would ask him, “How are you this evening?” and (in the morning), “How are you this morning?”
And Sa`d would tell the Prophet s.a.w how he felt.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah said, “Perhaps a man of you tells what he did with his wife (i.e. regarding their intimacy) and a woman tells others what her husband did with her?“
An African woman stood up and said, “Yes, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah, women do that, and men do that”.
He said, “Do not do that. It is like a male devil meeting a female devil in the road and having intercourse with her whilst the people are watching“

Narrated Ibn `Abbas (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous amongst the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel visited him, and Gabriel used to meet him on every night of Ramadan till the end of the month. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite the Holy Qur'an to Gabriel, and when Gabriel met him, he used to be more generous than a fast wind (which causes rain and welfare).

Sadqa given to a poor man is just Sadqa, but when given to a relative it serves a double purpose, being both Sadqa and a connecting link. (Tirmidhi).

It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."
