    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    Muslim Book 33, Number 6409:

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: There was argument between Adam and Moses. Moses said to Adam: You are our father. You did us harm and caused us to get out of Paradise. Adam said to him: You are Moses. Allah selected you (for direct conversation with you) and wrote with His own Hand the Book (Torah) for you. Despite this you blame me for an act which Allah had ordained for me forty years before He created me. Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said:.This is how Adam came the better of Moses and Adam came the better of Moses.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah
    As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu
    Fasting - 29th Ramadan 1433 (17th August 2012)
Narrated Ali bin Al-Husain (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):
Safiya, the wife of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) told me that
she went to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) to visit him in the mosque while he was in Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.

She had a talk with him for a while, then she got up in order to return home. The
Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) accompanied her. When they reached
the gate of the mosque, opposite the door of Um-Salama, two Ansari men were
passing by and they greeted Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam).

He told them: Do not run away! And said, "She is (my wife) Safiya bint
Huyai." Both of them said, "Subhan Allah, (How dare we think of any evil) O Allah's Apostle!"

    And they felt it.

    The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) said (to them), "Satan reaches everywhere in the human body as
blood reaches in it, (everywhere in one's body).

    I was afraid lest Satan
might insert an evil thought in your minds."

It is reported on the authority of Aby Huraira that the Messenger of ALLAH (PBUH) observed; He who believes in Allah and the Last Day shouls either utter good words or better keep silence; and her who believes in Allah and the Last Day should treat his neighbor with kindness and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest. Re: Hadeeth of the day

Hazrat Abu Barzah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (SAWW)(PBUH) said, "Man’s feet will not move on the Day of Resurrection before he is asked about his life, how did he consume it, his knowledge, what did he do with it, his wealth, how did he earn it and how did he dispose of it, and about his body, how did he wear it out.”

    [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2417].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Isra Ayat 104.We shall bring you altogether as mixed crowd (gathered out of various nations at the Day of Judgement).

    1. This Hadith first of all highlights the importance and value of this transitory life, every breath of which is invaluable. Not a moment of it should, therefore, be wasted in the disobedience of Allah because one shall also be made to account for it.

    2. Man shall also be answerable for his knowledge. Here, we find an inducement for acquiring religious knowledge because that alone is beneficial for him. He should make use of his knowledge for winning the pleasure of Allah. If he does not do that then he must think about the justification for not doing so. He must also think how he would be facing Allah on the Day of Resurrection.

    3. The question in respect of wealth raised in this Hadith clearly shows that one should earn wealth by legitimate means only and spend it strictly in a lawful manner. If he takes to unfair means of income or squanders it, he will be sinful and required to account for the violation of the Divine injunctions.

    4. One should protect his body from everything that is unlawful and force himself to submit to the Divine injunctions. When he is asked to account for neglecting them, it will be difficult for him to escape the consequences of accountability.

In short, this Hadith makes one conscious of the accountability so that one keeps it all the time in view so that he will be saved from humiliation on the Day of Resurrection. How nice would it really be if one bears the accountability of the Day of Resurrection always in mind!

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Any group of people that assemble in one of the Houses of Allah to study the Qur’an, tranquillity will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will surround them and Allah will make mention of them to those (the angels) in His proximity.”

    [Muslim Book 35, Chapter 11, Hadith # 6518].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Isra Ayat 105. "And with truth We have sent it down (i.e. the Qur’an)" The meaning of the Hadith is that they teach one another by discussing the Quranic sciences, and knowledge the Qur’an contains. This meaning is correct because both these acts are auspicious and are means of gaining the Pleasure of Allah. This Hadith, however, does not tell us in any way that this group of people recite the Qur’an all at once. This is Bid`ah for this was not the practice of the Messenger of Allah

    [SAWW](PBUH).

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Hazrat Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) saying, "Read the Qur’an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.” [Muslim Book 04, Chapter 133, Hadith # 1757].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Isra Ayat 106. And (it is) a Qur’an which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. "This Hadith tells the excellence of reciting the Qur’an and acting upon its injunctions. Intercession (in this Hadith) means that the Qur’an will be endowed with the power of speech by Allah and it will request Allah to forgive the sins of its reciters who acted upon its teachings. Allah will accept the request of the Qur’an."
