    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "O 'Abdullah! Have I
not been formed that you fast all the day and stand in prayer all night?" I
said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "Do not do that! Observe the fast
sometimes and also leave them (the fast) at other times; stand up for the
prayer at night and also sleep at night. Your body has a right over you,
your eyes have a right over you and your wife has a right over you."

A man once came to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and asked, ‘Who is regarded to be the most ascetic person in this world’? Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) replied, ‘The one who never forgets the graves and becoming decomposed, he leaves out the best adornments of this world, he prefers the eternal [Hereafter] over the temporary, he does not regard himself [to be alive] tomorrow, rather he regards himself among the dead’. Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I will narrate to you a Hadith I heard from Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu
'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and none other than I will tell you of it. I heard
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "From among the
portents of the Hour are the following: Religious knowledge will be taken
away; General ignorance (in religious matters) will increase; illegal
sexual intercourse will prevail: Drinking of alcoholic drinks will prevail.

Men will decrease in number, and women will increase in number, so much so
that fifty women will be looked after by one man."

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “When one of you marries a woman or purchases a slave, then he should say ‘Allahumma inni asaluka khayraha wa khayra ma jabaltaha ‘alayhi wa a’udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma jablataha ‘alayhi‘ And when he purchases a camel he should take hold of the top of its hump and recite the same du’a. [One version states, thereafter he should hold the forelocks of his wife/slave and make du’a for barakah]......(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 2153 and Sunan ibn Majah, Hadith: 1918 and 2252)

''Trials in Din will come after you. In these trials and tribulations, wealth will be in great abundance and the Quran will be opened until even a believer, a hypocrite, a man, a woman, a child and an adult, a slave and a free person will all open the Quran [assuming they are qualified and can deduce laws]. A person will say, “What is the matter with people? Why do they not follow me, whereas I have studied the Quran? They will not follow me until I do not contrive and innovate something different for them.” Beware of their innovations, for what they have innovated is misguidance''(Sunan Abi Dawud. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports from Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) who reports from Allah Ta’ala:“By My Grandeur, I will never allow my slave to be fearful or fearless twice. Sayyiduna Mu’adh ibn Jabal (radiyallahu ‘anhu) was once walking with someone when he removed a stone from the path. The man asked Sayyiduna Mu’adh, ‘Why did you do so?’He replied, ‘I heard Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) say, ‘Whoever removes a stone [or harmful object] from the path, one good deed is recorded for him. And whoever has an [accepted] good deed will enter Jannah” (Al Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 198, vol. 20 and Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 10660)

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported, Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,“Verily, you are in a time in which whoever among you leaves a tenth of what he has been commanded will be ruined. Then there will come a time in which whoever among you practices a tenth of what he has been commanded will be saved.” (Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2267, under the chapter of Trials and tribulations -Fitan-)
