    Hadith: Magrib and jinns

    Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
Allah's Apostle said, "When night falls (or when it is evening), stop your children from going out, for the devils spread out at that time. But when an hour of the night has passed, release them and close the doors and mention Allah's Name, for Satan does not open a closed door. Tie the mouth of your water-skin and mention Allah's Name; cover your containers and utensils and mention Allah's Name. Cover them even by placing something across it, and extinguish your lamps.” (Volume 7, Book 69, Number 527)

The prophet cidimage001@01C6F308BAB2DD50 - Daily Hadithhas stated in a hadith “As night comes in and it is dusk, then keep your children in for Shaytan gather at that time. When an hour of the time goes by, then let them out. Close the doors and mention the name of Allah. Shaytan does not open a closed door.” (Al Bukhari relates from Jabir Bin Abdullah.)

Hadith - Sahih Bukhari 4:533, Narrated Jabi bin 'Abdullah cidimage002@01C6F308BAB2DD50 - Daily Hadith

The Prophet cidimage003@01C6F308BAB2DD50 - Daily Hadithsaid, "Cover your utensils and tie your water skins, and close your doors and keep your children close to you at night, as the Jinns spread out at such time and snatch things away. When you go to bed, put out your lights, for the mischief-doer (i.e. the rat) may drag away the wick of the candle and burn the dwellers of the house." Ata said, "The devils." (Instead of the Jinns). Hadith - Sunan of Abu Dawood

    Re: Daily Hadith

    Sister,

It means that every night is divided into three parts. The first part is one-third of the night, the second one is the next one third, and the last part of the night(last couple of hours before Fajr time)is the last one third of the night. Say for example, if night time starts at 8pm and Fajr time is at 5 am, the last third of the night would be approximately from 2 am to somewhere before 5am.

Hadith: Punishment for not obeying the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wassallam)

    Narrated Abu Huraira:
    Allah's Apostle said,
"All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse." They said, "O Allah's Apostle! Who will refuse?" He said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)."
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 92, Number 384

How many of us not follow the sunnah cuz it's not in the Quran or it's not "important'?

Reward for Callind adhan & being in first Row

    Narrated Abu Huraira:
    Allah's Apostle said,
"If the people knew what is the reward of making the call (for the prayer) and (of being in) the first row (in the prayer), and if they found no other way to get this privilege except by casting lots, they would certainly cast lots for it. If they knew the reward of the noon prayer, they would race for it, and if they knew the reward of the morning (i.e. Fajr) and Isha prayers, they would present themselves for the prayer even if they had to crawl to reach there.

    Re: Daily Hadith

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "On Friday the Angels stand oust the door of the mosque and write down the names of the people in the order in which they enter the mosque for Friday prayer. The first group of people who enter the mosque get the reward equivalent to that of sacrificing a camel, the people who enter the mosque after them get the reward equivalent to that of sacrificing a cow. The people who enter the mosque after them get the reward equivalent to that of sacrificing a ram and the people who follow on likewise get this reward of a Chicken, egg and so on there is a gradation of rewards for the people as they enter. The angels keep writing the names of the people as they enter the mosque until the Imam sits down to give Khutbah. Then the angels collect their registers and sit and listen to the Khutbah." (Bukhari, Muslim).

    Tests for the Believers

A persons life in this world is not stable. One passes through alternating periods of happiness and dismay, strength and weakness. wealth and poverty, health and sickness etc. A true believer is one who maintains a clear level of Eemaan throughout the worldly fluctuations. He continues to remember Allah and ascribe the bounties to Him; and he turns to Him in submission, asking for relief from his affliction. This is described by the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) who said:

" Indeed amazing are the affairs of a believer ! They are all for hisbenefit; If he is granted ease of living he is thankful; and this is best for him. And if he is afflicted with a hardship, he perseveres; and this is best or him." [ Muslim ]

    And Allah (S) said (which means);

" Certainly, We shall test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient - those who, when afflicted with calamity say, "Truly to Allah we belong, and truly to Him shall we return." it is those who will be awarded blessings and mercy from their Lord; and it is those who are the guided ones." [ 2:155-157 ]

Thus, a believer shows gratitude and thankfulness for all the wonderful blessings that Allah grants him. And he displays patience and submission during sickness and hardships, hunger, or other afflictions.

    Re: Daily Hadith

    HARDSHIPS BENEFIT THE BELIEVER

Allah has decreed that, in this life, hardships and disasters strike both believers and non-believers. For a non-believer, they are inconveniences that hinder him from proceeding with his normal involvement in the worldly life. For a believer, on the other hand, they are instances of rest and remembrance, tests that promise great rewards, and indications of atonement and expiation of sins. Regardless of how little is the harm that strikes a believer, it carries with it good news of forgiveness and elevated rank (in Jannah). The Righteous Predecessors used to be pleased when a hardship afflicted them, seeing it as a token of Allah's forgiveness and benevolence.

    EXPIATION OF SINS

Abu Hurayrah (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahualaihi wasallam) said:

" Hardships continue to befall a believing man and woman in their body, family, and property, until they meet Allah (S) burdened with no sins. " [ Tirmithee ]

    SIGN OF EMAAN

Abu Hurayrah (radiallaahu anhu) and Ka'b Bin Maalik (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" The parable of a believer is that of a fresh and moist plant; the wind tilts it this way and that way; and so is the believer; he continues to be subject to affliction. And the parable of a hypocrite is that of a firm cedar tree; it does not shake - until it is uprooted all at once." [Bukharee and Muslim ]

    SIGN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

The prophets and righteous people are afflicted the most, and their rewards are the highest. Sa'd (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" The most in their suffering among the people are the prophets, then the best, then the (next) best. One is afflicted in accordance with his deen (faith). If his deen is firm his affliction is hard, and if his deen is weak, his affliction is light. Indeed, one would be so much subjected to adversity until he walks among the people without any sins.
