few days ago i have lost my brother. he was killed in military helicopter personnel casting exercise. when i read his log book, he mentioned this forum and he loved to be here (he said that 'it was where peace was nurtured among the users'). i don't have any clue about his profile or his username here. i would appreciate your help so that i can trace back his posts. here is some clues about him:
1. he was indonesian native
2. he was a catholic and embraced islam in his teen
3. he was an oral surgeon (graduated from University of Indonesia and took his postgrad at Hong Kong Uni)
4. his real name (if he ever mentioned to you) was Richard Stanley Pramudito, we called him Richie, and he changed his name recently into Rehmat Salahuddin Pramudito.
6. he was in marine force in 2004, being discharged, and being redrafted (until he got the accident).
thanks for your helps and it is my pleasure to be here.

Just as you have lost a brother, we have also lost a brother. Brother Asyur seemed to be a very valued member and we all hope and pray that his hereafter is made easy for him.
Surely to him we belong and to him we will return, and the brothers time was up. His loss should be a reminder for us all who have another chance. How long will we be busy chasing the material goods of this world when it is useless for our hereafter?

....If thou knowest not thy God, thou art a slave of men;
And if thou dost, thy slaves are kings and potentates.
The heart’s freedom is kingly; its slavery is death,
It is for thee to decide — to be a king or a slave.

Ameen to the Du'as that have been said. Sadly I did not get to read many of his posts. Like with all things we never know what is the will of Allah(swt). We just need to know that Allah(swt) is the best of planners and that all will happen when it is supposed to happen. we can not understand, but we can take comfort in the knowledge that our Brother had found Islam and had said the Shahadah.

SubhanAllaah, it's sad to have lost one of our brothers on LI, but Alhamdulillah, as mentioned before, he passed away having the greatest gift of this life and will Insha'Allaah find rest and peace after a life of hard work. Indeed, it is a reminder for all of us, and his story shows us the importance of good company and friendship. Thank you pramudito for joining the forum and letting us know of this important news.
May Allaah shower His mercy and blessings upon this brother, and bestow guidance and patience upon his family, Aameen.

May Allah grant him jannah...
I really missed him.... alot!!!!!
My condolences to his family in Indonesia, and to his wife and in-laws in Malaysia.
I know you will be sadest of them all. Your are his best friend. I'm sure he mentioned your name in the log book.
I'm not sure how is his fiancee is coping. Has anyone break the news to her yet.
I cried all the way from work yesterday. Coincidently i stayed back at the office late i read the news. I seldom stayed back.
He is only 26 or 27 years old right. As i remember it. Not sure though. But i know he hasn't married.

he always preferred to be called as a dentist or surgeon. so many people got amazed that he is, like what you've said bro, " a somethin else man"
he had never shared anything from the battlefield even to me his only brother.
"...malaysian food is soooo spicy. syilla gave me a recipe of kari lala. maybe i a malaysian should cook it for me, since mom made it too spicy..."
Jazakallah khayr (Thank you) for sharing with us.
