Samah left Syria with her family after a rocket shell destroyed their home in Aleppo. Now living in Istanbul, Samah remain undeterred by her dream of becoming a dentist.
In Aleppo both of Samah’s parents were engineers but since leaving her father has picked up a factory job earning far less than the family needs to sustain.
When asked about her urgent needs, Samah listed only education: With high-above-average high school marks she said she hopes to afford a pre-university entrance exam (Yogus) and a Turkish exam (Tomer) that would help to get her into the university.
