i didn't go to the event as soon as i found out that SAS will not be coming, the event was too political and i don't think the event was that good

You're right that the event was political. There were modern-day political heavyweights just continuosly dissing each other. Appearantly, it was supposed to be global peace & unity. Not what some of the speakers said.
There was also a lot of bad stuff, ie clapping, freemixing etc.

i dint expect him to turn up but you know at end when imam qassim said- i would like to introduce a special guest. this man sleeps only 2-3 hrs for his work. and he can sleep standing and sitting. i was like omg hes turned up??? but it was dr.zakir zaik

Yeh I told AS thats why he mentioned it, apparently SAS even got to the airport in Jeddah and thats when problems arose - allahu alam. I only heard from a friend who still has to confirm the exact details.
