I read about Suraqa bin Malik in a few places in the seerah of the Prophet(salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam). The first instance was when his horse stumbled a few times and he realized the truth and he became an honest believer. The second instance was when Iblis came in the guise of Suraqa bin Malik and encouraged the Quraish to fight. And the third instance, when Iblis, again in the guise of Suraqa bin Malik, plunged into the sea when they were losing in Badr. Was Suraqa fighting along with the Makkans in Badr?
