The idea of humans having the ability to fly is an enchanting one. For thousands of years, people from all corners of the world have attempted to defy gravity and soar like birds. Abbas ibn Firnas, a Spanish Muslim inventor of the 9th century managed to achieve un-powered glider flight in Cordoba in the 800s by building a set of wings covered in bird’s feathers. While his attempt was successful, his inability to slow down led to a disastrous crash landing that probably discouraged further attempts by enterprising inventors like him.
Captain Ahmet Ali was probably the first African pilot in recorded history and one of the heroes of Turkey during the world war. His high flying achievements provide a source of inspiration and motivation for the youth of Islam today, no matter what their race.
I guess you this, the first succesful intercontinental flight was done by Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi who flew from Galata on the European side of Istanbul to Üsküdar on the Asian side in 1632..
He was succesful in his flight but he was a victim of politics..People who were afraid of this powerful event provoked the sultan to expel him far away. Sultan sent him to Algeria.
