Today, upon a bus,
I saw a girl with golden hair.
and wished I was as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, a smile.
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs, the world is mine.
I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I spoke to him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes, the world is mine.
Later, while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play.
He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word;
and then I knew, he wouldn't hear.
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears, the world is mine.
With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed,
the world is mine.

:rose:This beauty that I have is just a simple part of me.This body that I have, no stranger has a right to see. These long clothes and this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty.Faith is far less fickle than fashion. Wouldn’t you agree?

i wonder...
If Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) visited you, just for a day or two
If he came unexpectedly, I wonder what you would do!
Oh I know, you would give him your nicest room, to such an honoured guest
And all the food you would serve to him would be the very best
And you would keep assuring him, you are glad to have him there
That serving him in your home is joy beyond compare
But ... when you saw him coming, would you meet him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome to your heavenly visitor?
Or ... would you have to change your clothes before you let him in?
Or hide the magazines and put the Quraan where they had been?
Would you still watch movies on your TV sets
Or would you rush to switch it off, before he gets upset?
Would you turn off the radio and hope he hadn't heard
And wish you hadn't uttered the last loud hasty word?
Would you hide your worldly music, and instead take a Hadith book out
Could you let him walk right in, or would you rush about?
It might be interesting to know the things you would do
If Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) in person came to spend some time with you
Allah bears witness that none has the right to be worshipped but He, and the angels, and those having knowledge (also bear witness to this); (He always) maintains His creation in justice. None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Almighty, the All-Wise.

But i think its good to remind ourselves of those less fortunate than us, inshallah we can become grateful to Our Lord for the things we take for granted.
