Product description:
Perhaps the single greatest motion picture ever made dealing with Islam. The Message (Al-Risala) is now available in a new digitally mastered version, presented in widescreen with optimized picture and sound.
"It is the 7th century in Mecca, where powerful leaders are in conflict with the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) who attacks their way of life and the injustice it produces. After seeing a vision of the Angel Gabriel, the Messenger calls the people of Mecca to cast aside the 300 idols of the Kaaba and worship only one God. Despite bitter opposition from the leaders of Mecca, the Prophet and his faithful followers meet secretly to listen to the revelations of the word of God. The leaders respond with persecution, forcing the Muslims to leave Mecca and take sanctuary in Medina.
After a revelation from God, the Prophet agrees to take arms against Mecca and battle until justice reigns. The idols of Kaaba are destroyed and the holy place is dedicated to the worship of one God."
This is the stunning epic of Islam produced and directed by Moustapha Akkad. Includes the one hour documentary The Making of an Epic, plus the English and Arabic theatrical trailers. This classic has inspired thousands of Muslims throughout the world, and should be a part of every home video library. Makes a great gift!

The Message movie, or "Mohammed: Messenger of God" as its sometimes is called, is at once a magnificent epic motion picture, and at the same time, a very good introduction to the Islamic faith, both from its historical roots, and various elements of the faith itself (worship-wise). The Prophet is never depicted in the movie (his presence is indicated by the characters looking into the camera), along with the 4 khalifas and most of the known sahaba are also not depicted. Hamza (a.s.) and certain other sahaba are depicted.
This movie was also approved by Al-Azhar University.
I wanted to ask doesa anyone have the link to the animated series of the life of the prophet Muahmmed (pbuh), I really wish to see it, Jazakhallah, take care my brother and sisters.

There were very simple and humble men. They neither were kings nor riches,
but they were so lovely in hearts of their people, each of them was one but
become a nation. They are prophets of God such as Moses, Jesus and Mohammed.
Here is the story of Islam, how has started with man and become a nation.
How and why that has happened ,Its true story, you should see this movie ;
otherwise you will miss a lot.
The film 'The message' as shown below, was shown to us as kids by my parents when we were younger. It made me understand the introduction of Islam so much clearer, than what we were taught in schools etc. It is such a heartwarming film, its amazing how the characters all do an excellent job of playing the roles. Im glad i watched it as a child.
I also bought it on DVD!!!! as the old copy was on video. :sunny:
I would recommend this video to children, and anyone who is new to Islam (mashallah)
Salamualikum.
Im not being big-headed or anything but a friend of mine who is a muslim told me once some scholars say we shouldn't watch this move.. Im not sure Allaah Hu Alim.. So don't start on me please
I have seen abit of it not all... But then i give up wasn't feeling to good..
Yes, ive heard and there are some errors or delberate errors like : Bilal killing Umaya bin Khalef (in the movie), he wasnt killed by Bilal in the battlefield but afterwards When Abdurrahman bin Awf took Umaya as prisoner and Bilal called upon muslims to take revenge on Umaya, then a large group of muslims killed him
Salamualikum.

I heard the same of a sister. Maybe because the actors who play in it are supposed to represent sahabah, which is not right. And yeah some parts of the movie arent correct. WAllahu a3lam.

Salamualikum.
Maybe it is right or maybe it isn't Allaah hu alim ...so i guess if none of us know the right answer there is no point having this thread up.. might aswel delete the video?
i watched it the other night and thought it was pretty good. of course, i wouldn't be aware of inaccuracies. in general, i think it would be good introduction to islam for a young person, or a person who doesn't like to read. so i think, in any case, that it does have value.
