Re: Amazing facts about our Beloved Prophet Muhammad sal Allaahu 'alayhi wasalam.
The reason why Prophet Mohammed Pbuh was illiterate?
The prophet mohammed was illiterate from da day he was born till he died. And to him was the holy book "QURAN" given. This was mainly done by God to show n make people see that the book was not produced by him, and that it was given by GOD. Imagine, how beautiful the chapters are in the holy Quran!! And people were astounded and believed the Prophet when he announced the "Quran" to the people. How can someone who has no knowledge of writing come up with a beautiful book? It must certainly be from God. And this were one of the reasons why he was illiterate.

We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear: (36:69)

The Prophet (pbuh) always told the truth. This was even acknowledged by his worst enemies. Abu Jahl said: " 'O Muhammad! I do not hold you to be a liar, although I do not believe in what you preach."

Salam everyone
i read in this book that the Prophet mohammed Pbuh, adopted his eleqount speech from Halima, her tribe spoke arab very fluently and beautifully. The way they speak was so beautiful that it involves no hurting words, its with so much respect they spoke. For e.g in this book, they said
if the ppl of that tribe came across a theif
they would not say " THIS MAN IS THE THEIF!!"
instead they would say it in a nicer manner
"We suspect that this man may have taken the stolen object"
they tell out things in a nice manner, n this is where our Prophet Mohammed pbuh learnt a very nice way of speaking.

The Prophet Mohammed pbuh has a unique way of eating, he eats with three or 5 fingers, If he is unhappy with the taste, he would not pass bad comments. Instead he would say " ive had enough of this type of food, i would like to try the other dish". In this sentence too we can see how careful he was in speaking. He tries not to hurt anyone in his comments.
And if the food is tasty, he would praise it.
he also emphasized on eating with his right hand. He also never leans on anything while he ate. This is what we call "Table manners"
Talking abt table manners, i just remmebered, our prophet never ate on a table till he passed away! And he had a habit of licking his fingers when he had his meal

The prophet(SAW) was stoned until he was covered in blood when he went to preach to the people of Taif....But even still he didn't take revenge when An angel came and asked him if he should crush them[the people of Taif] with a mountain.....

everyone...The fact about Prophet Muhammad (Peace upon be him)
Amongst this people was born Muhammad, an orphan from his birth, who lost even his mother when six years old. He came of the noblest family of the Quraish, yet, like the rest of his countrymen, he was not taught reading and writing. He tended sheep for some time, and the noblest of the Arabs had no contempt for that occupation, but in his youth he was chiefly occupied in trade. It was, however, his high morals that distinguished him from the first from all his compatriots. The Holy Quran, which contains the most trustworthy account of the Prophet's life, says that he was the "possessor of sublime morals." [68:4]
Leading generally a reserved life, he had for friends only those men whose moral greatness was admitted by all. His truthfulness is testified in the clearest words [6:33]. His bitterest opponents were challenged to point out a single black spot on his character during the forty years that he had passed among them before he received the Divine call [10:16]. It was in his youth that, on account of his pure and unsoiled character and his love for truth and honesty, he won from his compatriots the title of al-Amin, or the Faithful.
Though he lived in a city in which drinking orgies were only too common, never did a drop of wine touch his lips. Even Abu Bakr, the most intimate friend of Muhammad's youth, never tasted wine. The society at Makka found pleasure in gambling, yet never did Muhammad take part in any such pastime. He lived among a people who were addicted to war as they were addicted to wine, yet he had no liking for either.

A christian monk named Basharia warned the Prophet's SAW uncle Abu Talib when he saw the Prophet SAW at the age of 12. He told Abu Talib that this child is the messenger of Allah and is a mercy to mankind. When enquired why he said that he said that when the Prophet SAW was coming towards him all the trees and stones bowen in prostration and this is only done for a Prophet of Allah. Further he had the sign of the Prophethood on his shoulder.
2. The Prophet SAW said he was the descendent of the two sacrificed. These were his ancestor Ism'aeel who was to be scarificed by his father Abraham AS. And he also referred to his won father Abdullah who was to be scarificed by his father Abdul Mutalib when he discovered the Zam Zam well.
