Why can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

An issue many of us have with our Salaah is that we lack the presence of our hearts during our Salaah. This is called Khushu when a person’s heart is fully occupied with whatever he says or hears, then he is in a true state of Khushu’.

“Indeed, the believers, who have Khushu’ in their Salah, are the winners.” [Noble Quran 23:1-2]

The concept of Khushu’ in Salah is very essential but unfortunatley many of us lack in khushu during prayer and our heart wonders off into different directions thinking about whatever is going on with our day or our lives at the time.

Many of us go through this issue either from time to time or most of the time, so know that we are not alone in this but we must continue to strive and pray ALL of our Salaah.

"And whoever strives, strives only for himself, for lo! Allah is altogether Independent of all (His) creation." (Ankabut 29:6)

This problem that you have in regards to having less khushu in prayer is a problem that many of us experience in our Salaah where our tongues are just not connecting with our hearts. We pray the Salaah but it does not get pass our tongues and therefore we feel not much benefit from it. This is because our hearts are hard and that which hardens the heart is sin. We sin so much that our hearts are blackened and hardened by sin.

What is the best way to soften a hardened heart? By avoiding the major sins as well as reciting Qur'an often and remembering and glorifying Allah as much as is possible.

"Those who believe and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah; verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." (Ar-Ra'd 13:28)

We should also learn the meanings and read the detailed tafseer of Surah fathiha so that we understand it properly. If we truly understand it properly then we will realise what an amazing Surah it really is. It is unlike any other Surah of the Qur'an. We should learn the meanings of this surah as a matter of urgency!

We should also learn the meanings of whatever we recite in Salaah even when in Ruku and Sajdah as this would enable us to concentrate much better whilst we are praying and we will be able to imagine Allah in front of us watching us reciting and praying to him and when we make sajdah then we should prostrate in meekness and feel us as low beings are prostrating to the most high supreme master of the universe!

It is important that before Salaah we stand there for a minute and clear our minds. Imagine our minds erased of ALL thoughts of the day and whatever else is going on in our daily lives. This will enable us to focus on our Salaah.

We should then imagine that Allah is infront of us and that we are going to meet with him after we do the takbeer and so after we say "Allahu Akbar" we should feel that there is NOTHING more important than with our meeting with the most high and this will help us not to think about anything else because it would give anything else in our lives less importance.

We should also think that the prayer is short and we can think of whatever we want after prayer but for the meanwhile that we should concetrate ONLY on the Salaah and the fact that Allah is infront of us and watching us because he really is for we are not just imagining it.

Our eyes must NOT move around in Salaah as this is the cause of shaythan taking from our salaah and it will cause our minds to wonder. We must guard our Salaah just like a mother guards its precious baby. It should be as precious to us because it is our meeting with Allah 5 times daily.

Gaining khushu from Salaah is NOT an overnight process and it does take a while to master but if we start taking these small steps then eventually we will gain more and more khushu in Salaah until we feel there is nothing better than Salaah and when we have reached this state then we will NEVER look back again!

So let us continue to strive, persevere and be determined to get there evetuntually for we must NEVER lose hope or stop trying for that is exactely what shaythan wants us to do for shaythan ONLY wants our destruction!

"Oh you who believe! Persevere in patience and constancy. Vie in such perseverance, strengthen each other, and be pious, that you may prosper." (3:200)

Let us pray to Allah that he softens our hearts and makes it possible for us to gain khushu in all of our worship especially in our Salaah.

Here are some very useful tips in order for us to gain khushu:

    Ways to Gain Khushu’

    A. Pre-Salah

A Muslim should know his Lord very well. Knowing whom one worships makes a person a better worshipper. Having clear and authentic knowledge about Allah increases His love in our hearts. Consequently, faith also increases.

Avoiding major and minor sins is very helpful in gaining Khushu’, as the heart becomes more receptive to the words of Allah during and after Salah.

Reciting the Quran frequently and consistently softens the hearts and prepares it for Khushu’. Hard hearts do not gain Khushu’.

Minimize attachment to worldly matters. Gearing one’s intentions towards the Afterlife helps against the temptations of life.

Avoid excessive laughter and useless arguments as they harden the heart and lead to heedlessness.
Stop working as soon as you hear the Adhan. When you listen attentively to the call of Salah repeat after the muezzin then offer the relevant supplication. This prepares you for a smooth transition from the business with worldly matters to the business with Salah.

Performing Wudu’ immediately after hearing the Adhan prepares you for the pending Salah. Wudu’ also works as a buffer zone before engaging in Salah.

Going to the mosque early for praying and continuing mention of Allah drives Satan away and help gain concentration.

The waiting time for the congregational Salah helps create a buffer zone between the state of mind before Salah and the state of during Salah.

    B. During Salah

The Iqamah itself is a final signal to the mind to be well prepared for performing the actual Salah. Remember what the messenger of Allah said to Bilal “Let us enjoy the comfort of the Salah.”

When you stand facing the Qiblah remember the following:

    a. It might be the last Salah in your life. There is no guarantee to live longer to catch the next Salah.

    b. You are standing between the hands of Allah, the Lord of the worlds. How can you be busy with something else?

    c. The angel of death is chasing you.

3- Do not forget to make Isti’adthah. It wards off Satan’s whispers. (Seeking refuge in Allah from shaythan: A'udhubillahi minashaythanirajeem)

4- Keep your eyes focused on the place of Sujud. This helps you gain more concentration.

5- When reciting the Fatihah, try to recall the response of Allah to you after every Ayah you say. (When you say: “al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil ‘Alamin) Allah responds: “My servant praised me.” etc. This feeling of speaking to Allah puts you in the right mood of Khushu’.

6- Beautifying the recitation of the Quran has a positive impact on the heart.

7- Recite the Quran slowly and reflect upon its meaning deeply.

8- It is recommended to change the Surah that your recite from time to time to avoid the mechanic-like state of repetition.

9- Alternate between the various authentic Sunan such as proclaiming a different opening supplication in every Salah.

10- Undoubtedly, understanding Arabic helps you focus on the intended meaning.

    11- Interact with the recited Ayahs;

    a. if you hear an Ayah about Allah, glorify Him by saying “Subhanallah”;

    b. If you hear an Ayah about Hellfire, say “A’udthu Billahi Minan-Nar”.

    c. If you hear a command to make Istighfar, do it.

    d. If you hear an Ayah that requests Tasbih, make Tasbih.

12- These forms of interactions are very helpful in keeping you focused.

13- When you prostrate, remember that this position brings you closer to Allah. Seize the opportunity to make sincere Du’a’. Invest these moments in making sincere supplications.

    C- Post-Salah

    1. When you make Taslim, make Istighfar to Allah as you might have made during Salah.

    2. When you praise Allah, thank Him from the bottom of your heart that you have experienced the beauty of Salah in your heart. Getting used to this habit prepares your for the next Salah, as you will always be eager to focus in your prayer.

    3. One perfection leads to another perfection. If some one perfects his Salah once, he would be self-motivated to continue on the same level.

Re: Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

I know this is the sunna of the prophet in voluntary prayers, but not in obligatory prayers. It would be nice if someone could clear this issue up. Also I would like to know if supplications in sujood have to be ones from the quran and sunna, or can one supplicate in their own words.

    Thanks in advance

Salaam..Try concentrating on the meaning of the words you recite. Know the meanings if you havent learned them whatever you recite during your Salah, then by concentrating on the meanings, you know what your saying and then that will keep your mind attentive towards Allah (swt). InshA Allah!

Prophet Muhammad (Saw) said that when we stand up for prayer, God is facing us.

    JAZAKALLAH.
Asalaamu Alaikum, this is clearly waswas so disregard it. Shaythan is wanting to put you off from concentrating in your Salaah. If you continue get these whispers in Salaah then turn your head slightly to the left and spittle (blow with a little saliva) and say "A'udhubillahi minashaythanirajeem" and continue with your Salaah. Continue to do these things and inshallah things will improve.

And Allah knows best in all matters

Re: Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

i just want to add a tip....before starting the salat, sit for a while and think the greatness of the ALLAH SWT, then think now u r going to worship ur lord, u will bostow ur head in HIS FEET, one day in salat i think how easy i make a sajood in salat, however if someone else say me to just make a rakooh to him, imagine how much it will be difficult, even i die i think i will never do such. so in salat just think while making rakhoo and sajood, y are u bowing ur head down, to whom u r making ur head dow to earth. make u mind b4 starting salat that ur now going to worship ur lord and u will not think anything else for these 5-6 mintes. then read tasbeed and tamjeed by knowing the meaning of it, think that u r making hamd/tahreef of ur lord, and really HE is such that all hamd, should be for HIM. see in world how we make admiration/tahreef our boss even they are not capable for it, but ALLAH SWT...even all creations start making HIS hamd for all our lives, we cant.
i hope it will help if someone act upon it.

Re: Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

    Bringing Concentration in Salaah

by Hazrat Maulana Yunus Patel Saheb (daamat barakaatuhum)

A common complaint of many who seek reformation, is their lack of concentration in Salaah, and finding themselves wanting in the spirit of Salaah. They write or ask for some prescription to bring in that spirit and that love of Allah Ta’ala through Salaah.

The following guidelines will, Insha-Allah, assist in improving the quality of one’s Salaah :

Men should try and reach the Musjid before the Azaan, so that they may with etiquette and ease, read the Sunnat Salaah – and this should take them about 5 minutes.

In the remaining few minutes before the Fardh, make Istighfaar, Taubah, or Dhikrullah, or think of the Aakhirah (the Hereafter) and accountability and presentation of one’s deeds in the Court of Allah Ta’ala. Reflect over one’s life : What if my death has to come now ? …Try and cut off from the business and worldly activities as much as possible through this little meditation and Zikr.

Now comes the Fardh Salaah : Insha-Allah, by this time, much of one’s heart will be in that Salaah. Insha-Allah, with a little effort and perseverance, there will be full attention and concentration.

Ladies should try and read Salaah in its early time, thus giving themselves the opportunity of making preparation for Salaah, without any haste. They too should make a little zikr before commencing with Salaah, to get into the right frame of mind.

Moreover, if we give priority status to fulfilling the Rights of Allah Ta’ala, then He will assist us in fulfilling our tasks. He will grant Barakah in time so that our undertakings are completed, Insha-Allah.

Condition the mind; address yourself – I am standing before the King of Kings. SubhanAllah. …I have been chosen, from millions, to converse with ‘Rabbul ‘Aalameen’ and I am being afforded the greatest honour and privilege (above millions of others), to make sujood to Allah Ta’ala… to be nearest to Allah Ta’ala. [ …If we could truly fathom the greatness of the gift, this ultimate honour, this good fortune – we would never want to leave the position of sujood.]

And whilst reading the Qur`aan Sharif in Salaah (and even outside Salaah) then think : This is the Kalaam (speech) of my Allah – of my Beloved. By contemplating the meaning of the verses that you are reading, think : I am listening to the speech of Allah Ta’ala.

And since you are reading His Speech, He is also listening to you … Therefore learn the meaning of the Surahs we normally recite in Salaah. It will not take long to do so, if a little is learnt every day.

And think : In this Salaah, in this Tilawat, in this Dhikr, in this Hamd – I have the special attention of Allah Ta’ala. I have exclusive attention because this is my ‘Me`raj’; this is my conversation and communication with the Master of the Worlds. ….What a compounded bounty – SubhanAllah : So many gifts in the gift packaged as Salaah. How can any sane thinking Muslim ever refuse such a gift ?

In contemplating this, we will experience the beauty and sweetness and pleasure of Salaah … we will understand the Hadith in which Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) says that the coolness of his eyes is in Salaah. May Allah Ta’ala grant us the reality.

Re: Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

It is reported from Al-Hasan Al-Basrî that he said, “If a man from amongst the Salaf were to be sent forth today, he would not recognize anything from Islam.” He put his hand on his cheek and added, “Except this prayer (salâh).” Then he said, “But by Allâh, this does not apply to the person who lives in this unfamiliar time, never having seen the Righteous Predecessors, but who sees [instead] the innovator calling to his bid’ah, and the follower of worldly wealth calling to his materialism, but Allâh protects him from all this and makes his heart love and aspire to those Righteous Predecessors, asking about their way, searching and trying to follow in their footsteps, and adhering to their path. Such is a person who will be recompensed with an immense and great reward. So be you all like this, by Allâh’s permission”.
    Ibn Waddâh, Al-Bida’ Vol. 1 p190.

Re: Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

Guilty of not concentrating in Salah?

Scenario : Alhumdulillah, you are in the habit of praying 5 times a day, and you just love to stand in prayer, but by the end of every salah you are guilty of not maintaining concentration in it. Your prayer time is the time to connect with the Almighty but instead it becomes the time when you plan your day, or think about who said what and why you told them what you did, or you remind yourself about the pic to be uploaded on fb or articles to be posted on your blog. Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!
Well, if even you are guilty of ending your namaz in the same manner, like me (Astaghfirullah), here are a few tips from Salah 101 blog, on how to develop concentration in Salah!162606 470507163121 69158688121 5768534 1 - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?
May Allah help us in our intention of perfecting our Salah and make it a source for us to get closer to Him and seek His pleasure. Ameen.
    ——————————————————————————————————————–

    What is Khushuu’?

Khushuu’ during Salaat is misunderstood by some people as crying and weeping. Rather, it is the presence of the heart during an act of ‘ibadah. When a person’s heart is fully occupied of what he says or hears, he is in a true state of khushuu’. The concept of Khushuu’ in Salaat is very essential.
1- It is a vital factor in making a person successful in this life and in later life. “Indeed, the believers, who have khushuu’ in their Salaat, are the winners.”
قد أفلح المؤمنون الذين هم في صلاتهم خاشعون
2-It is a contributing factor for the acceptance of Salaat.
3- It is a way to gain more rewards from the Almighty Allah; the more the khushuu’ a person has, the more rewards he gets.
4- Without Khushuu’ the heart cannot easily be purified.

    Ways to Gain Khushuu’

    A. Pre-Salaat

1- A Muslim should know his Lord very well. Knowing whom one worships makes a person a better worshipper. Having clear and authentic knowledge about Allah increases His love in our hearts. Consequently, faith also increases.
2- Avoiding major and minor sins is very helpful in gaining Khushuu’, as the heart becomes more receptive to the words of Allah during and after Salaat.
3- Reciting the Qur’an frequently and consistently softens the hearts and prepares it for Khushuu’. Hard hearts do not gain Khushuu’.
4- Minimize attachment to worldly matters. Gearing one’s intentions towards the Afterlife helps against the temptations of life.
5- Avoid excessive laughter and useless arguments as they harden the heart and lead to heedlessness.
6- Stop working as soon as you hear the Azaan. When you listen attentively to the call of Salaat repeat after the muˆz-zin then offer the relevant supplication. This prepares you for a smooth transition from the business with worldly matters to the business with Salaat.
7- Performing wuduuˆ immediately after hearing the Azaan prepares you for the pending Salsat. Wuduuˆ also works as a buffer zone before engaging in Salaat.
8- Going to the mosque early for praying and continuing mention of Allah drives Satan away and help gain concentration.
9- The waiting time for the congregational Salaat helps create a buffer zone between the state of mind before Salaat and the state of during Salaat.

    B. During Salaat

1- The Iqaamah itself is a final signal to the mind to be well prepared for performing the actual Salaat. Remember what the messenger of Allah said to Bilal (ra) “Let us enjoy the comfort of the Salaat.”
2- When you stand facing the Qiblah remember the following:
    a. It might be the last Salaat in your life. There is no guarantee to live longer to catch the next Salaat.
    b. You are standing between the hands of Allah, the Lord of the worlds. How can you be busy with something else?
    c. The angel of death is chasing you.
3- Do not forget to make isti’azah. It wards off Satan’s whispers.
4- Keep your eyes focused on the place of sujuud. This helps you gain more concentration.
5- When reciting the Fatiha, try to recall the response of Allah to you after every ayah you say. (When you say: ”al-hamdu lillahi rab-bil ‘alamin) Allah responds: “My servant praised me.” etc. This feeling of speaking to Allah puts you in the right mood of khushuu’.
6- Beautifying the recitation of the Qur’an has a positive impact on the heart.
7- Recite the Qur’an slowly and reflect upon its meaning deeply.
8- It is recommended to change the suras that your recite from time to time to avoid the mechanic-like state of repetition.
9- Alternate between the various authentic sunan such as proclaiming a different opening supplication in every Salaat.
10- Undoubtedly, understanding Arabic helps you focus on the intended meaning.
    11- Interact with the recited aayahs;
    a. if you hear an ayah about Allah, glorify Him by saying “Subhaana Allah”;
    b. If you hear an ayah about Hellfire, say “a’uuthu billaahi mina-n-naar”.
    c. If you hear a command to make istighfaar, do it.
    d. If you hear an ayah that requests tasbiih, make tasbiih.
12- These forms of interactions are very helpful in keeping you focused.
13- When you prostrate, remember that this position brings you closer to Allah. Seize the opportunity to make sincere du’aaˆ. Invest these moments in making sincere supplications.

    C- Post-Salaat

    a. When you make tasliim, make istighfaar to Allah as you might have made during Salaat.
    b. When you praise Allah, thank Him from the bottom of your heart that you have experienced the beauty of Salaat in your heart. Getting used to this habit prepares your for the next Salaat, as you will always be eager to focus in your prayer.
    c. One perfection leads to another perfection. If some one perfects his Salaat once, he would be self-motivated to continue on the same level.

I am sure, they are not people of Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei. Because "khuusuu" is one of many Arabic words that adopted into Malay language. People there use "khusyuk" in daily talk, not only in talk about salah. Of course they know the meaning.

Jazak Allahu Khayr for your info, brother.

Re: Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

6 Steps to Achieve a Quality Salah

    by Aziz Khan

Alhamdulillah, achieving a quality salah is something we, as Productive Muslims, are all striving towards. None of us likes to recite Quran during our salah without having our faith refreshed. We would all like for us to feel that peace from showing our obedience to Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He).r123101226 1 - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah?

We’re all leading busy lives and this can affect the time we spend in worship to Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He). Therefore, in the little time we spend worshiping Him, we want to make sure this is done right and in a way that is pleasing to Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He). This will help benefit us in this life and our worldly duties, as well as the hereafter. Here are a few points which, inshallah, will help you improve the quality of your salah in terms of improving the prayer itself and also bearing in mind what can harm it.

    1. Focus on your technique.

This relates to each position you take during salah. For example, you can focus on how your feet are positioned during sajdah (prostration) e.g. making sure they do not come off the ground whilst in prostration. Another example can be making sure you’re standing upright after ruku’ before going into sajdah, etc. I don’t want to go into the fine details of each position as salah is practiced slightly differently amongst people, but according to how you are told to conduct your salah, try to follow it EXACTLY like that.A way of achieving this is to slow down in each position. This would be especially important if you’re naturally a quick reader and your salah normally finishes quickly. Slowing down can mean reciting the Quran a bit more slowly or just holding your position i.e. in sajdah for a few seconds more than normal after you have finished reciting. Inshallah, this will allow you to relax and get that piece of mind and sakinah/peace inside of you that you have completed THAT position in a way that is pleasing to Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) as opposed to perhaps rushing the salah.Additionally, you will find slowing down allows the salah to run smoothly in a beautiful manner.

    2. Understand what you’re reciting.

You don’t have to be a scholar to understand what you’re reciting. We should make the effort to understand at least some of what is read during salah.

For example, Surah al-Fatihah is something we all read during salah but do we know what, “Iyyaka na’a budu wa-iyyaka nasta aeen” means? (You {Alone} we worship, and You {Alone} we ask for help [for each and everything]. This Surah is also fairly short and therefore not difficult to remember.Once we understand what we are reading during salah even if it’s not all of what is read, then we will find that sweetness you obtain from salah {with Allah’s wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) grace} through understanding what we are saying. This can only allow us to become closer to Him.Also, understanding the different chapters and verses we read and their translation during salah e.g. Surah An-Nas, Al-Falaq, Al-‘Asr etc., is something that will allow us to achieve a better focused salah. Those mentioned are very short and are about a couple of lines long but are packed with meaning.

You will find that, in the majority of English translations, these Surahs mentioned with the translation but also their background – for example, where the Surah was revealed and after which incident in the Prophet wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him)’s life the verses were revealed. That is why it is highly recommended to get a copy of the translation of the Quran (the more recent translations include backgrounds) so you understand what you’re reading as well as the story behind it. This will, inshallah, increase the enjoyment we receive from our recitation during Salah.

    3. Know your opposition.

This is our enemy, Shaitaan. We are blessed by Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) that we are in a position to be performing salah but this doesn’t stop Shaitaan in our salah who is ever busy trying to distract us from our worship.

It is said in a hadith that shaitaan called ‘Khinzab’ sits on your shoulder in salah. As soon as you start the salah, it whispers and does everything to disturb you. That’s why if you find yourself running through your shopping list or what you have to do for the rest of the day then know that this is the shaitaan working its magic.‘Uthan b. Abu al-‘As reported that he came to the Allah’s Messenger wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) and said:“Allah’s Messenger, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur’an and he confounds me”. Thereupon, Allah’s Messenger wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, “That is (the doing of the Satan) who is known as Khinzab and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allah from it and spit three times to your left”. [Muslim].If we understand the different tricks of the shaitaan, we can avoid falling into its traps and letting our minds wander in salah.

    4. ‘Get in the zone’.

This is a reference to getting ourselves focused. When we are doing something important for example completing an assignment, project for work, college or university, what do we do to make sure we are not distracted? This may be isolating ourselves and going in a quiet place which can and should be applied to our salah. Anything that allows us to focus, concentrate and block out the world during salah can only benefit us.Many people find sitting in wait for the salah, doing zikr (remembrance) for a few minutes is very useful. This will inshallah allow you to forget about the world and the various things you have to do for a few minutes. Therefore, when the salah begins, you will be fully focused.

    5. Increase the significance/importance of THIS salah.

Try to think of the salah you are about to perform as the one in which Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) will question you about on the Day of Judgement. This should help us to perform the salah with the devotion, concentration and care we are looking for. Also, it may help to think of the salah as something we will be marked on like in an interview. Therefore, questions may arise from the salah such as, ‘Did the person read with care?’ ‘Where was their mind during salah?’ We should try to truthfully answer and evaluate ourselves after the salah.Additionally, consider that this salah may be your last. I’m sure if we were told this would be our last salah, we would perform it with extreme devotion, avoid anything and anyone that distracted us and make it the longest salah possible. This is something to reflect on.

    6. Continuously make duaa.

This is a vital point to consider for everyone. Duaa should constantly be made to Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) as without the help of Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) and His willing, we will not be able to perform the salah as required. We should continuously ask Him to send blessings on us and if for example we are struggling with remembering the Quran, or concentrating then we should continuously seek help from Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He).Also, duaa should be made asking for forgiveness from Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) for not achieving the standards required of us even if we feel we possess some levels of devotion, care and quality during our salah. Finally, duaa should be made thanking Allah wwwislamicboardcom - Why Can't I concentrate in my Salaah? (glorified and exalted be He) for all His bounties and giving us the blessings to be able to perform salah and pray to him despite our many faults.A duaa that should, therefore, be read constantly after salah is, ‘Allahumma innee ala zikrika wa shukrika wa husni ibaadatik’ (O’Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner).I sincerely hope this offers you some use which you can subsequently apply in your salah. I apologise for any mistakes made and I humbly request you to make duaa for me. Jazakhallah khair.
