yep sister there is an online dictionary: dict.cc you can put the words in the search engine and then listen to the word if it is not good, then let me know I will insha'allah record a file of the words you want. masalam sis!

since last week I have 3 colleagues now who are from Germany. And even though Dutch (my native language) is quite close to it, I can hardly understand a word they're saying. Luckily two of them speak English though ^_^
sorry i just want to know wats the difference between german and dutch arent they one lANGUAGE O_o ?!!!
I've always thought so too since germany is also called deutschland, but I discovered that dutch is the language of the people of holland...I think..., maybe brother abdul fatah can correct my simple understanding .

Dutch is spoken in Holland and the northern part of Belgium and Suriname.
Although both Dutch and German are Germanic languages and have a fair number of similarities, there are also many differences in both vocabulary and grammar. If somebody speaks German very slowly, I might be able to make out what they say, but I wouldn't be able to follow a real-time conversation.
