Hey everyone... how are you guys?
I am just curious how can one become an ulema (especially if you are a sister)? I want to become one but I heard that it's really hard?
jazakallahu khair
If you are serious about getting a degree, I would recommend travelling to Medina University in Saudi, or studying at the Islamic Universities in Malaysia.
Salaam
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Surely I was sent to perfect the qualities of righteous character" [Musnad Ahmad, Muwatta Mâlik]
But you need mahrams to travel abroad.. And Saudi Arabia requires you to enter with a mahram, won't let you in without one.
If you can't travel abroad, try taking education by an alimah that may be in your locality. Learning from sites is great...but usually when you're learning by somebody they teach you Arabic, which will be very useful when reading ahadith in Arabic and stuff.
Its not hard...just takes a lot of dedication, like any other field of education.
"...You are my Walî in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim, and join me with the righteous." [Surah Yusuf 101]
May allah subhann'hu'wataallah'aah help you in your thirst for knowledge sister.
Thumma Ameen
yeah its better to learn from somebody ..the sites given above are good but i dnt think ..its a good way to gain knowledge that way incase u misunderstand sum Mathaail .. and its important to Learn Arabic as well..

The Prophet said, "Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world even if he got everything on the earth, except a Mujahid who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the dignity he receives (from Allah)."
