    Zakah problem

    Report bad ads?

    Assalam Alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatho

I just wanted clarification on an issue on Zakat by someone who has the prior knowledge.

Basically my situation is that I recently have been married, and the savings I had all went on my wedding. I have also several overdrafts, but I am working full time too at the minute, but earning under 1500 a month. My overdrafts total up to above 2k, and its only been a month since I got married.
I havent had any gold in my possession for OVER a lunar year.

Even though I will give a donation to Zakat, will it be fardh for me to?

    Walaikum salam.

    1500 a month ? in Pound sterling ?.
In Indonesia if a Muslim has income more than US$ 200 a month he/she is a Muzaki and obligate to pay zakat 2.5% of gross income.
I don't know about the lowest income limit for Muzaki (Muslim who obligate to pay zakat) in your place. I think you must ask your local scholar.
