Fasting Mondays & Thursdays while on Being Away from home (Vacation)

As'salamu Alaykum,
My question is regarding the sunnah fasting on Mondays & Thursdays of everyweek, while I am on vacation and shortening my prayers. I kas'sr and Jami my prayers, and I still fast on Mondays & Thursdays, is this permissible?
