Are you still complaining???? a must read very touching story!!

Prophet Ayuub (known as Job in the Bible) was the grandson of Prophet Ishaq son of Prophet Ibrahim and his wife was the granddaughter of Prophet Yusuf. Allah gave him many blessings. He was a wealthy man with large flocks of sheep and a lot of land. He had many children and was well respected by his people. Allah knowing Prophet Ayuub's patience, he tested his faith with a calamity/trial on his wealth, health and family. In one morning a natural disaster came and he lost all his land, crops and wealth. In addition to this, all his children died at once. Worse than this, he suffered a very serious illness in which he had ulcers or raw and painful wounds on all over his body and skin. The pain he was feeling was so intense that he could not stand or sit nor sleep or even rest!

During this time, his wife asked him why don't you pray to Allah so that he uncovers this calamity, pain and hardship from you and our family? He replied, Pity on you! How many years did we enjoy a life of happiness due to the Mercy of Allah?" She replied, "Eighty(80) years." He said, "And how long have we been under this trial?" She said, "For seven(7) years." Then Prophet Ayyub told her angrily, "Why should we not bear all this for the same period of time as we lived happily?

Then one day, while suffering in this pain and loss, prophet Ayuub prayed to Allah without complaining or crying much about his situation, by saying only these words: OO Allah "I have been afflicted with great distress: but You are the Most Compassionate of all" (Qur'an, 21:83). Subhannallah! What a great faith and strength!

In reply, Allah (SWT) said "So We heard his cry and relieved him of the misery he was in" (Quran 21:84). After this, he was blessed with many children, wealth and good health. Alllah says "And We gave him(back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand" (Qur'an, 38: 43).

Unlike us, he suffered his hardship without bitterness, and submitted himself to the will of Allah, Who rewards plentifully those who remain steadfast in seeking His pleasure. Imagine if this would have happened to anyone of us, we would be complaining, and even at times blaming Allah for what happened to us. and Allah is testing our patience and his faith in him. Are you still complaining to the all-knowing of your affairs, who is even more closer to you than your jugular vein???
