Is the word Jihad mentioned in the Quran?

Asalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Is the word Jihad mentioned in the Quran anywhere (in a military sense)? I have done some of my own research, but since I'm not a scholar myself I would like to clarify this. I was hoping maybe someone here can help me understand this better.

I am on the eigth Surah, and I am quite sure I have seen the word many times. Mabye I only saw it in parenthesis (as in the authors interpretations), but I'm sure I've seen it.

Jihad (military) is mentioned many times throughout the Quran. If you want, I can post up the Ayats from Quran that mention it Inshah'Allah.
