When I read namaz I read a surat after surat fatiah all the time, for example, surat nas, surat faalaq.
Should I be reading a surat every time during naamaz for example during Sunnah, Farz, Nafl, Witr etc...................I want to clarufy when to read the surats and should i do it in EVERY rakhat.
Surah Fatiha is a must in every rakat and every prayer.
extra surah's in the Fard prayers- Only the first two rakats.
and with the other voluntary prayers, you must read the extra surah's in every rakat.

And as for the onewho fears standing in front of His Lord and restrainsthe soul from impure evil desires and lusts, verily, Paradise will be his abode [79:40-41]
^ Yes. Surah Fatiha PLUS another surah in the first two rakats, and ONLY Surah fatiha in the third (if it's maghrib) and third and fourth if it's dhur, asr or isha. Applies for any salah, not just fardh.

‘Say: If the ocean were ink wherewith to write out the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted, even if We added another ocean like it.’~Al Qu'raan (18:109)
Thank you for the information it is very usefull....so to recap.....two surahs after in the first two rakhats only if it is Farz naamaz but an extra surah in EVERY other rakat so long as it isnt Fradh....What about Witr for Esha naamaz?
Also if I choose to read 4 extra surahs in Fardh rather than 2 is this ok? or totally not acceptable?

Huh? So you're saying if you were praying sunnah with four rakats all together, you would read an extra surah after surah fatiha for every rakat (1,2,3 and 4)? I'm not sure about that.
