    Sunnah prayer

    Report bad ads?

Ok, I need some help brothers and sisters in ISLAM.

I go in the masjid for duhr prayer. I pray two sunnah for the masjid. Then I start to pray 4 sunnah that goes before duhr.

But during my second rakah they make iqama and then everyone lines up for prayer by my third.

    Do I

    a) say salaams to my angels and jump in line for prayer, or

    b) finish my third and fourth sunnah rakat and then go to the line?

I never had this happen to me before until yesterday and I did not know at all what to do.

    Re: Sunnah prayer

    Thread Approved.

My advice to you bro is that instead of praying 2 Raka'ats Tahiyyatul Masjid when you go into the masjid, pray your 4 Raka'ats of Sunnah.

Abu Qatada Radhiallahu ‘anhu narrated that the Prophet Salallahu ‘alayhi wasallam said : “If any one of you enters a mosque, he should pray two raka’ats before sitting.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

The purpose of tahiyyatul masjid is that a person should perform salaah before sitting, this can be counted for by praying the Sunnah salaah too.

    Allah knows best.

    Wa'Alaykumus Salaam Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatuh.

...or you could just pray at home since it is more desirable to pray the sunnah raatibah at home rather than the Masjid.
