    assalam alaykum brothers and sisters

as i mentioned its a guidance made for myself as i have started to learn prayer during ramadan. i would like you to see and check if everything is correct please,

    FAJR (morning) 2 Rak'ah
    ZUHR (early afternoon) 4 Rak'ah
    ‘ASR (late afternoon) 4 Rak'ah
    MAGHRIB (sunset) 3 Rak'ah
    ‘ISHA (night) 4 Rak'ah
    1. Stand up facing Qiblah

    2. Raise your hands and say: "Allahu Akbar.”

    3. Place your right hand on top of your left hand on the chest and look downward and recite silently: "Subhanaka allahumma wa bi hamdika wa tabara kasmuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuka."

    4. Then recite silently: "A'udhu billahi minash shaitanir rajim."

    5. Then recite: "Bismillahir rahmanir rahim."

    6. After this, recite Suratul Fatihah of the Noble Qur'an: "Al hamdu lil lahi rabbil 'alamin. Arrahmanir rahim. Maliki yawmiddin. Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in. Ihdinas siratal mustaqim. Siratal ladhina an'amta'alaihim, ghairil maghdubi'alaihim wa lad dhallin. (Amin)"

    7. You must recite Surat Al-Fatihah in each unit (Rak’ah) of the prayer, if you pray alone.

    8. Recite any other passage from the Noble Qur'an.

    9. Now bow down saying: "Allahu Akbar" and place your hands on your knees and say silently: "Subhana Rabbiyal Adhim” three times.

    10. Stand up from the bowing position saying: "Sami'Allahu liman hamidah", "Rabbana lakal hamd."

    11. Prostrate on the floor saying: "Allahu Akbar"

    12. Then recite silently: "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la." Three times.

    13. Sit up from the floor saying Allahu Akbar.

    14. Sit upright with your knees bent and palms placed on them and say: “Rabbighfir li.”

    15. Say "Allahu Akbar" and again prostrate

    16. Recite "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la" three times.

    17. Sit up from this position saying "Allahu Akbar"

This completes the first Rak'ah or unit of Salah. Now stand up for the second Rak'ah and perform it in the same way, except that you do not recite Subhanaka at the beginning, and after the second Sujood (prostration) you sit on the left leg while keeping the right foot upright and put your right hand on the right thigh, with all fingers together in a fist except the index finger. Stick the index finger straight out. Put your left hand on the left thigh.

    18. Now recite Tashahhud silently:
"At-Tahiyyatu lillahi was- Salawatu wat-Tayyibatu. As-Salamu ' alaika ayyuhannabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. Assalamu 'alaina wa’ala ibadil-Lahis -Salihin ash hadu al-La ilaha il-Lal lahu wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu."

    19. In a three-Rak'ah Salah (as in Maghrib) or a four-Rak'ah Salah (Dhuhr, Asr, and Isha) you stand up for the remaining Rak'ah(s) after you have done Tashahhud. For a two-Rak'ah Salah you remain seated after Tashahhud and then recite silently Assalatul-Ibrahimiyah:
"Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin Wa 'ala ali Muhammadin Kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahima wa barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin Kama barakta ' ala Ibrahima Wa ' ala ali Ibrahima Fil a'lamina Innaka hamidun Majid."

    20. After this say silently: "Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min adhabi jahanam wamin adhabil qabri wamin sharri fitnatil mahya wal mamat wamin sharri fitnatil masihid dajjaal. Rabbi-ghfir li waliwalidayya, rabbi-rhamhuma kama rabbayani saghira."

    21. Now turn your face to the right saying: "Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah" (peace and the mercy of Allah be on you) and then to the left repeatitng the same words.

so couple of questions now: how many times and when do i say Tashahhud in one prayer? how manny times and when do i say one surah after Al-Fatihah?

    thank u very much

Re: i have made a little guidance how to perform a prayer .... couple of questions

In Zuhr, Asr, and Isha u pray 4 fard rakats. In these fard rakats recite tashahhud in the second rakat and fourth as well. Only recite a surah after Al-Fatiha in the first and second rakats.
In Maghrib u pray 3 fard rakats. Recite Tashahhud in the second and third rakats. Recite a surah after Al- Fatiha in the first and second rakats only.
In Fajr u pray 2 fard rakats. Recite tashahhud only in the second rakat. Recite a surah after Al-Fatiha in both rakats.
Also the surah after Al-Fatiha must be at least 3 ayats and for example u can recite the first 3 ayats of Surah baqara.
Last after reciting tashahhud recite blessings upon the Holy Prophet(PBUH) only in the final rakat for every salat.

Brothers & sister don't forget the 6 fasts of Shawwal
Abu Ayyub al-Ansari(ra) narrated, the Prophet(SAW) said, "Whoever fasted Ramadan with the then connect with the (fasting) six days in Shawwal, the (reward) as he was fasting for a year." (Muslim,Abu Dawood,al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaai & Ibn Maajah).
