Ayat of the Day

Assalaam Alaikum!

On the RoadtoJannah message board I typically post a Hadith of the Day and the Ayat of the Day. I see that there is already a Hadith of the Day thread here so inshAllah I intend to contribute to that. However, when doing a few searches on this board I could not find an Ayat of the Day thread, so I decided to make one. If there is one already please merge this and point me in the right direction inshAllah. Also if everyone could contribute that would be wonderful. Discussion, Ayats, anything inshAllah.

8. Al-Anfal (Spoils Of War, Booty)

Surah: 8 Aya: 16

Transliteration
16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru

Translation

16. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّات ٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلاَّ الرَّحْمَنُ ۚ إِنَّه ُُ بِكُلِّ شَيْء ٍ بَصِير

50) Sūrat Qāf

050.009 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops

وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً مُبَارَكا ً فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِه ِِ جَنَّات ٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ

5) Sūrat Al-Mā'idah

005.001 O ye who believe! Fulfil your indentures. The beast of cattle is made lawful unto you (for food) except that which is announced unto you (herein), game being unlawful when ye are on the pilgrimage. Lo! Allah ordaineth that which pleaseth Him.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَوْفُوا بِالْعُقُودِ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُمْ بَهِيمَةُ الأَنعَامِ ۚ إِلاَّ مَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّي الصَّيْدِ وَأَنْتُمْ حُرُم ٌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا ۗ يُرِيدُ

4) Sūrat An-Nisā'

004.171 O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لاَ تَغْلُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ وَلاَ تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلاَّ الْحَقَّ ۚ إِنَّمَا الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ~ُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوح ٌ مِنْهُ ۖ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِه ِِ ۖ وَلاَ تَقُولُوا ثَلاَثَة ٌ ۚ انتَهُوا خَيْرا ً لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا اللَّهُ إِلَه ٌ ٌ وَاحِد ٌ ۖ سُبْحَانَهُ~ُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَه ُُ وَلَد ٌ ۘ لَه ُُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ ۗ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلا

(2:286) Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."

068.017 Lo! We have tried them as We tried the owners of the garden when they vowed that they would pluck its fruit next morning,

إِنَّا بَلَوْنَاهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَا أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ
